  • The, "Power Gain" item allows you to carry more eggs. I used to play this game on my ibm 5150 when I was like 7 years old lol.

  • I play this game sometimes and try to collect as many points as i can. First i start a fire and then i let the dinos hatch. I always cage 3 of them - warping out then gives more points. And i try to place eggs everywhery floor cause on every floor only 1 dino can hatch at the same time. When the last fire burns, i begin collecting eggs.

  • In the beginning game and in the next two levels, the spiders don't carry the baby dinos away, so expose all the eggs and cage the baby dinos, they are worth 6, 8 and 12 points respectively (only three will hatch). Also, start the fire on the top level to annoy the spiders.

  • This is David H Schroeder, author of this game DINO EGGS from the 1980's. I'm currently exploring the rebirth and revitalization of my games, including DINO EGGS, on contemporary devices and networks.

I'm seeking Alpha and Beta game testers -- and programmers with skills on contemporary platforms like iOS, Facebook, etc.

Interested in talking to me? Or know anyone who might be? Please visit my web site and get in touch.

    Thanks! David H Schroeder

  • This was an awesome game...played it a lot on my C64 back in the 80's :)

  • I never understood why Tim devolved into a spider.

  • DEVOLUTION

  • Power Gain lets you carry more than 3 eggs at a time. I think you got a bonus for carrying loads of them at once. This was obscure, but a lot of fun nevertheless.

  • Really liked this game! Came online looking for this thing. Is there an updated version of this anywhere for any platforms of today?

  • Loved this game!

  • Wasn't that weird spiky thing suppose to be some sort of power up to let you carry more eggs?

  • Strangely enough my parents utterly loved this game. My dad even noted the highest score on the tv screen with a marker.

  • cool game but what the hell are those wihte things not the eggs but the enimies

  • Omg, I loved this game so much, playing it into the small hours, night after night ... I wish it was available for PC now!

  • @meikebettina

Just play it on an emulator. (I used to play it on CCS64)

  • Wow, looks interesting. Neat death theme too.

  • loved this game!

  • This is very cool game. I used on apple II c

  • cool, i used my C64 until it broke, but it took a long long long time till it did, and i had quite a few games, what fun :)

  • There is always something unique about games this old. There isn't anything to them, but still they're fun to play.

  • Great game! Great memories... I wonder why the didn´t make a new version of it yet... it´s great! C64 lives for ever... Regards from Argentina

  • Shoulda showed everyone what it looks like when you get smashed by the mama dino. Those babies are a pain when a spider lands. They're just like, "Ooh, look, let me go right over and sacrifice myself to the hungry spider".

  • Holy shit, I used to play this game when I was about 3.

  • ahh the memories.. this is one of the only games I played for a longer period when getting a c64 emulator.. and H.E.R.O. ofcourse

  • The 'power gain' thingy allows you to carry more eggs, and it's a pretty handy thing to have :-)

  • This video makes me feel old. And I consider myself a young guy too! I remember my C64. Another game I loved was "Mail Order Monsters."

  • I am also surprised to see a video of this game on YouTube. Does anyone else think that Time Master Tim looks like a large lemming?

  • I am also surprised to see a video of this game on YouTube. Does anyone else think that Time Master Tim looks like a large lemming?

  • he might be a lemming and went in time to lemmings time to be in another video game

  • It's no wonder these games are "obscure."

  • Wow! Didn't expect to find this game on youtube. When I had, past tense,a commodore 128 I had this game and played it about everyday.
