Don't Rock Hudson and Paula Prentiss know that it's too dangerous to be outside during a thunderstorm? Ditto for the two guys looking for them on the lake. Hope they didn't get struck by lightning.
I only got to 42 mins; I just can't stand women like that - bullying; kooky; enjoying torturing some poor innocent schmuck. Some sort of damned personality disorder being glorified.
@pynchme You´re right. Sure Howard Hawks made wonderful movies, but constantly having Hudson to be the victim of circumstances and the women preying on him makes this quite a tiring one sided play. That´s not screwball!! In Bringing up Baby Grant a least can punch back now and then a good one and Hepburn is simply wonderful idiotic but not in command all the time. This makes Miss Prentiss a pain in the neck. She seldomly shows her charme, sure the humour comes from ridiculing Hudson. Too much.
Back then men's favorite sport was girls-nowadays, these people only think about one thing. Where did we go wrong? Anyways, GREAT MOVIE. thanx for uploading
*This is my very favorite Rock Hudson film; and also my favorite performance by Paula Prentiss. I couldn't care less about fishing or camping so it's a good thing Man's Favorite Sport isn't about either! Very silly, campy and has some funny looking sets too. Terrific acting by both of the lead actors, a wonderful script and very good directing more than make up for any of it's shortcomings. This is a thoroughly enjoyable bit of "escapism". Thanksomuch for sharing!*
@antekatetaketna I really like Paula Prentiss; however, I also love his films with Doris. I think this ranks up there with "Lover Come Back", "Send Me No Flowers", and "Pillow Talk". In some ways, this film is very reminiscent of "Bringing Up Baby". The female protagonist, in that film, had Cary Grant in one crazy, cockamamie, hilarious scenario, after the other. I have always like Paula Prentiss, and I think she gives an excellent performance. Have a great day.
Especially out in the woods. (referring to being outside during a thunderstorm.)

Houseboat, Donovan's Reef, and this one are the only three movies that I know of that have two thunderstorm scenes in each one.

Thank you so much for posting this movie and all the other great movies you've posted!!
First time I've seen this one. Verrrry funny, but didn't care too much for Ms. Prentiss's acting. I don't think this character fit her too well.
Maybe you could post The Glass Bottom Boat sometime soon.
Thanks again justonenightonly! :-)

love rock, miss Doris Day. Paula doesn't hold a candle to Doris Day, in looks or spark.

Sorry... 40 mins into this and the battle of the sexes thing is just plain boring and stupid.
