ending is perfect it's supposed to have no purpose killing the dragon the dragon is meant to symbolize fear and everything you(the player) sees bad with the world minecraft was a story like childrens stories it had no purpose no coherent ending to speak of but to the player it made sense because it was all a dream it doesn't need to make sense and the two creatures light and matter as they called themselves were everything the player created yet the player was unaware of... it's so beautiful

1. use a bow.

2. you are basicly done for (unless you have a pick). so you will have to die. safest way is to be killed by an enderman next to the portal. then come back with waste blocks, and get your stuff and use the waste blocks to go in the portal.
