Many of those that worked on the FF games made this, and Tetsuya Nomura's character designs are very reminiscent of Final Fantasy 8, as well as much of the games designs. Very FF8ish. The game is pretty good during the actual gameplay bits but they can be very short. Game had alot of potential but relied to much on being a movie like game instead of a game in the first place.

Also, they should have had interactive enviroments like the 1st trailer showed.

And finally, they (Dream Factory) should have just used the Tobal 2 or Erhgeiz battle engine as those were better. And lose the rag doll physics.

Other than that it was a decent game but I think it might have been rushed cause it was the last game DF made for Square. I think they had a falling out

I remember the early videos to this, it looked insane. But when it came out it was a let down, there was no interaction at all with the scenery or any weapons and those are two things needed in modern beat em up

I only counted a few LPs of 'The Bouncer" some of them in poor quality while others played completely different from me and chose different paths. You should be saying this to people that did an LP of Mega Man X which has well over 15 Lets Plays or to someone who did "I wanna be the guy" which I'm sure there's 50+ series about.

It's not THAT short. If you're a completionist, you can try to max out all your characters since there's a new game +. Also, As you pick different characters, you get different cut scenes and get different bits of dialogue in them. So you'll probably want to play through at least 2 more times to see what you missed out on.
