It was great because of Blizzard North. North no longer exists. Game is released by someone who think they can pick it up where North left it. Seeing that Illusionist (spawns three copies with same HP at 30% health) unique made me think, imagine unique in Inferno spawning with Illusionist, Health Linked and Stone Skin. Stone Skin would give him significant boost to defence, Health Linked would add all their health together and Illusionist would keep spawning copies of himself. Though there are restrictions for Illsuionist boss mod, it would still be a fearsome sight,

I watched this on 1080p... was your resolution settings set to high? ultra? where is the grass? Where is the floor texture? Looks like a free online game you can play without downloading any software.. (special fx are kinda nice, and the simili3d as welll but still)

@momorgoth I agree, same problem with sc2, blizzard waits so damn long to release a game (as long as it isnt a wow xpac) that by the time the game is released the graphics engine they started developing on is super outdated. These graphics look no better than titan quest, released in 2006.

The damage rings you got/salvaged were far better than the precision rings you wore because spell damage is based on weapon damage. The precision bonus is so small anyway the effect is miniscule.

one question that ihave after watching the videos lately is how do you kill with the skill in the (1-4 slot) i know you get right and left click but are you holding the number down, to mute the attack that is assigned in the right and left click attack to only use the attach from the number skill that is being held down, as you click the minion. its hard to believe its a scrolling feature since i dont see the right and left buttons adjust when you use the 1-4 skill attacks.

@iekomedia Its the same as clicking and pointing with the mouse but instead of using a mouse button you use the keyboard buttons. for example if you have an ability on mouse button 2; you point the mouse cursor on the enemy and click mouse button 2. Lets say that ability is now on "2" on the keyboard; you point the mouse cursor at the enemy and press "2".

@immortalis1001 - The beta isn't even full Act I on Normal mode. There are several acts, and 4 difficulty settings total. Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno.

Perhaps it's simply a 'first one tenth of the game' thing. Was the first bit of D2 hard? No. This is early Act 1, on the easy difficulty setting. Of course it will get harder. Jay Wilson specifically stated it will cater to every skill level, and trust me buddy, you're not that good.

@Anotherhack69 Hi! I run an Intel i7 940 @ 3.06GHz, 6GB DDR3 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295, it's over 2 years old by now but runs Diablo III with everything on max on a 1920x1080 resolution (or even 1920x1200, I just go down to 1080 so it doesn't look silly on Youtube) at about 40-60 FPS.

Not at all, the i5 750 is a great overclocker. I wouldn't suggest overclocking with the stock cooler though, I use a good air cooler and it's fine at 4GHz. There's plenty of guides on Google, it takes only a few minutes if you know what you're doing.

I would advise against it with a stock cooler, if you want to do some serious overclocking you need to buy a proper cooler. And yes, you will be able to push it higher than 3.4 with proper cooling.

Well worth watching. Though I can see how some might say it is a bit oversimplified, I was impressed how streamlined the game is, with a minimum of the little things which added up to interrupt play in earlier Diablo games. I did find a lot of the "game mechanics prompts" (checkpoints, etc.) to be counter-immersive to the atmosphere, though they don't detract so much as to make it unplayable. I'd like to see more. =^[.]^=
