WOW! I was just looking for a video depicting the life of a OTR Truck Driver, as my gand father drove for Packaging Coporation of America long ago. This video was encoruaging, may the Lord continue to use you and bless you while you are out driving and ministering HIS LOVE and Salvation to those who don't know Him. When you spoke to the gentleman who said he was going to kill himself after dinner, that struck me. Amazing how the Lord will bring hope to you at just the right time. The devil lost!

@donbosco0101 I'd say on the average most drivers make 40-60K per year if they're driving for a company. Owner operators can make more but they have to pay off their equipment first. Talk to drivers that you know and check with them in your area.

Nice vid. I was a trucker back in 2003 when I was laid off. God thought me many things at that time too. I also had time to listen the whole bible, which I had not "found" (Taken) time to do. I found out that God will take care of me no matter what.

My dad strugled with leaving his job at United Parcel for 2 years and serving in foreign ministry for the church he was a member of at the time. He felt as though god came to him and gave him reasurance that the union and the company was in as great or greater need for ministry to as anywhere else in the world. great video. Churches can form bubbles of tight knight communities that dont reach out to unbelievers. I grew up in such a place, and as a result, grew up ashamed of the gospel before unbelievers. I grew up believeing that evangelism and discipleship were dimetrically opposed, I am now learning that they go hand in hand. If A church does not reach the atheists, the prostitutes, the drug addicts, the muslims, the homosexuals, the wiccans, and others we may think are impossible, then who will?

Lol. Dont let anyone know Im really just a meek and mild semi operator. My best advice is stay with it no matter how frustrating it gets. Also dont let the cars around you intimidate you into rushing anything youre doing. I dont know how many middle fingers and honking horns Ive had to ignore just to get the job done safely. Also become a great storyteller so you can exaggerate what happens on the road. Good bullshitters are hard to find. :)
