Data Squad needs another chance!!! It wasn't so good at the beginning, which is why no one watched to the end, where they were saving all the good parts for! It's actually a really good season!

Tbh anything after data squad and data squad it's self just sucks no offense but any true digimon fan would agree great amv but to much effects in it do a amv with scenes you like and finish it then add effects to the most dramatic parts. Good first try tho 4/5 ^^

Too many effects kinda get distracting! Use them in a way that you can still see whats going on but its also impactic, if you get what i mean? Try using photoshop to put in some transparent images Over the videos and experiment with that

It's not bad, but you overused the distortion effects way too much. Distortion effects for amv's are pretty much unused in professional looking ones. The only real effects useful in an amv are like fades, flashes, chroma keyer, any other effect that cuts out a character from the background, color changes, bloom, blur(slight amounts), movement of the video(which isnt really an effect), and basically anything else that allows you to still comprehend the image and isn't choppy.

Okay, if this had been one of your earlier AMVs, it could be deemed acceptable. However, I feel you played with the effects too much. Like at 1:22, that was just pointless. Your timing was very nice at some points, however, was great and that saves you from a 1 or 2 star in my opinion. 3/5.

Meh, I cut some slack because in my eyes this i kind of a "first AMV" now you have the freedom of so many effects to choose from so i seen this as a warming up practice vid. but yeah I have cons i just ain't get a chance to post them yet.

Yeah, i noticed that. That was exactly my thought but i wasn't too fond of the effect used.

And my new goal is to try to stick with 1 to 2 types of transitions.

I try to give my amvs formality and the best way to do that is to keep it consistent looking. If the veiwer seen the part of the start and part of the end would it still seem like the same Amv? may be a good question to ask yourself.

i would try to limit myself to about one-two three at the most effects, which is what i am aiming for in my next vid.

but i think what i like most about this vid is that even tho you flooded out some of the clips with too many effects, It's not enough to cover up your excellent timing. Your timing is very key in some places of this amv and Thats a key point you want to keep building on.

yeah their you go! Well, to me it totally depends on the song. Like the rhythm,how many instruments are used how many beats there are.

This is a song with a good straightfoward beat to it so it don't really need that many effects. Just chooses a couple that you like and try to work around those.

Now on the other hand a fast techno song would probably call for many effects or flashes but this just really don't need that many.

Actually here is some advice an AMV judge gave at an anime convention i went to back in may,

"Just try to make your amv first "straightforward (just cuts and edits)" THEN add effects to the most dramatic parts or where it is definitely needed, but keep in mind timing is a necessity throughout the whole vid, the effects are what bring the most important parts out."

And that is what i am trying on my newest vid i am currently working on.

Originality:

Im not too sure how a real amv judge would view this seeing as there are about 3,160+ Amvs that use this same song, but about 35 of those are Digimon and from those 2 are savers. SO to me this song is not overused for Digimon savers/data squad.

Capture/Output Quality:

It was nice quality. Im sure nobody who has god raws has problems with out put quality!

00:49 01:03: I really like your timing on the hard guitar tones. Each time you had a character hit 1 another! Cool touch! & also 1:04 when it zooms into massarus face on the tone and then blurs too it really matches the confused/angry tone of the song!

00:54 What transition is that? It is really cool. Im not sure if it matched their or not but I really like it!

01:37 01:48 I try to put the most action In the main chores of the song or try to make it stand out from the rest of the vid. You kind of failed to do that here. And there was a lot of miscellaneous lip sync too. Carfull real competitions take off big points for that.

01:49 Im really liking the clip edits and sync with shine ruind mode to the syllables of AN-I-MAL. Then I like how you go back to the previous clip of massaru and leomon. It makes it look like he was thinking back on a particular moment in time.

02:13 But theirs still rage inside I really like the pure red clip that was thrown over the color clip. The red represents rage. I really liked that part!

02:24 I cant control myself once again good job capturing the chaos of this lyric!

Lip Sync:

I dont think was intentional. But I would be careful with this. When I got my amv ( no giving up savers) judged at an anime convention. I actually got points off for lip sync because It was deferent characters lipping the same song. They told me the ONLY way that would work is if the amv is focused around one character and one character only =/

Clearly a lot of effort was put into this. Look how far you have come! This was in incredibly LARGE jump form your last amv! And the clips and lyrics match pretty well and the effect with them really bring out the tones and themes in the song!
