  • nice parking job! @ 2:23

  • She purged after just one light push of her finger into her throath.Well, fair enough...

    Just saying.

  • If only purging was that easy. . . .

  • Wonderful video! btw my friend used this quite popular diet system named: Impact 790 Diet and already lost 16 pounds in a month. I cannot really remember the site just Google it.

  • wow that actress looks a lot like audrey hepburn

  • That is like the best gag reflex i have ever seen

  • Some gag reflex you have there...

  • Purging takes WAY more time than that!

  • Look how young Calista Flockhart is. I didn't even recognize her at first.

  • Is there any way that you can post the entire movie?:)

  • @flowersings The entire thing is up, you just have to look for part 2 in the related videos on the side.

  • who the fuck tells people in the locker room that they throw up when they feel fat..? that's like sitting at the lunch table and being like "guys check out my arms, I cut myself cause I was sad!"

  • That's some gag reflex she has there.

    Seriously, fastest purge ever.

  • @GEhotpants101 LOL.

  • People who discovered this video after they've only been bulimic (or making themselves throw up after eating) a short while, please look up the site 2Medusa. There's a whole section of pictures of bulimics who've harmed their bodies and some death scene photos, a girl with a bruised, distended stomach who had a cardiac arrest beside the toilet. YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT, please stop or seek help if you're beyond that point.

  • One of my favorite episodes of Families in Crisis.

  • Uggh. I hate how easy it is to puke up your food. After the first time, you're hooked, like drugs or some shit! DON'T DO IT, DON'T TRY.

  • @rebornhobby16 you have to really stick your fingers down there and wiggle them around and it's not too hard once you get the hang of it. I knew someone who could just make a gagging noise and she'd puke because that's how easy it got after a while..

  • @FisherCynge I use two fingers and it works just fine for me..

  • @oxcrimsonrosesxo :) You're the first I've heard who does.

  • @FisherCynge It was really hard at first but if you stick your hand back far enough and wiggle your fingers it does reach. Other ways might be easier but for me I think the fingers are best. Only problem is your saliva runs down your arms and can make a big mess.

  • @FisherCynge oxcrimsonrosesxo is right, it does work that way, how i do it ;)

  • @FisherCynge not really, I started out doing that, but´after a while I could just do it bt flexing my stomach-mucsels

  • @alittlehorse I could never vomit with just my fingers. Unless I just felt sick and was ready to vomit anyways...every body is different I guess.

  • @FisherCynge Practise makes perfect.

  • @FisherCynge You know everything, it's really smart to stick foreign objects down your throat because it's not like ERs don't see girls all the time who need surgery after accidentally swallowing spoons or toothbrushes. Not like those don't make you more likely to scrape or puncture your esophagus. Great idea!!!

  • @genet13 You know what...go fuck yourself. Its obvious YOU haven't had an eating disorder...GREAT IDEA to judge without actually being there. See you in hell.

  • @FisherCynge So you're one of those patients who want to be the sickest, who like the attention of long-term illness. Congratulations you're a fucking expert who doesn't know a lot of bulimics use their hands, totally justified in scoffing at the "technique" presented in an after school special because in your superiority you choke on objects.

  • @genet13 HA You know...You have some serious fucking issues. You think I'm scoffing at just using your fingers? I use those too by the way, and FYI I don't use spoons or forks and I especially don't swallow objects, never have and never will. I don't want to be the sickest either...since you take the cake with that one!!!

  • @FisherCynge

firstly you shouldn't give tips online. and second, everyone is different-some peoples' gag reflex is very strong so telling someone to use something longer than a finger to gag with is dangerous. Please stop it.

  • Thank you very much for upload this movie, i saw it many years ago

  • i'm bulemic when i get drunk.

  • ah pink 1117 I see wot you mean - I commented before I watched it - yeah I agree - its not THAT east

  • Its not that easy to make yourself throw up!

  • @lovePINK1117 unfortunelty Ive got to the stage where i DO find it easy. Im not bragging - theres nothing to brag about. It's gross. I don't know why I''m even saying it - the fact I'm a little bit drunk may have something to do with it. As soon as I realised I could do it without sticking my fingers down my throat thats wot should have scared me. I shudder thinking about it now..... if only I'd never been successul with it!

  • @gibbseyo I just mean like she just started doing it its not that easy. but if you have been doing it for a while then yes it would prob take just thinking about it to throw up. and ive just started binging and purging about 2 weeks ago and it not that easy!

  • @lovePINK1117 please don't do it. The strain it puts on our heart. Why do ou think you started doing it?

  • @lovePINK1117 We're not lying to you when we tell you to stop. Here's what you don't always here: you keep about half the calories you consume. Excessive purging gives you chipmunk cheeks and makes your face look fat. You end up wasting money on food like drug addicts spend on their addiction. The way you eat normal meals changes and people look at you like you're crazy. Bulimia causes wild mood swings. Remember the Florida woman on life support, Terri Schiavo? It was bulimia. Please stop.

  • @genet13 Ah it feels like forever since ive watched this.I have been dealing with bulimia for about 3 months now and its hard it really is! It something i never thought would happen to me but it did and now its a part of my everyday life.

  • @lovePINK1117 I am honestly very sorry to read this. It's never too late for help, though. That's the thing about eating disorders, you have such a long way to go towards bottom, you waste so much time telling yourself it's too late or hopeless as everything continues to fall apart. For years.

  • @genet13 I know its never to late for help. But for help my family would have to know and whats been going on.

  • I can do it without using my fingers too.I'm glad I'm not the only one. We'll I'm not glad that you're having to go through the same vicious cycle as me,but it's nice to know that I'm not alone. If you dont mind me asking, how old are you and how long have you been bulimic.I'm 16 and have been bulimic for a little over 2 years now.

  • @241797829 I'm 27. Been both bulimic/ anorexic since god knows when. First time I remember trying to be sick was 11. It was on and off after that. I first started to become properely ill with it when I was 16. I've been hospitalised twice. The first hospital saved my life I believe. I'm know where near as bad as I was - but the bulimia has become out of control again over the last few years. If you ever need to chat just inbox me. I'm here to support and would NEVER encourage this illness xxx

  • yeah this reminds me of Health class too.

  • i remember when I had to watch this for health class.

  • RIP Right side of the head RIP

  • she reminds me of another actress..I can't remember her name gahhh

  • @Poet2916 Sarah Michelle Gellar? I tried to figur eit out, thats who came to mind.

  • Holy crap, it bothers me how inaccurate these films are. It's things like these that leave eating disorders so misunderstood and misrepresented...

I don't mean to be harsh; I just know that from experience these movies are so exaggerated or oversimplified or worse - glamourised!

  • @YaroohPihPih it is based on a true story. they are exagerated to try and teach a lesson. there is NOTHING glamorous about what's portrayed.

  • What did she purge the first time considering she hadn't eaten anything?

  • Yeah, Calista Flockhart was in her late 20's when this was filmed...and she looks it lol

  • Hey! An ED movie where the jogging doesn't come up until like 4 minutes in!

  • @Joolea2

thank you for making me smile

eating disorders come in two flavours, either real and ugly or fictional and glossy

  • @Joolea2 LOL

  • this made me lol. u cant just throw up with one finger half way in your mouth... just saying people should do a little research before they make movies or write stuff

  • @TheIndieRocker4Ever but u can do it with no fingers.

  • @TheIndieRocker4Ever (Once you're used to throwing up, it doesn't take much at all to do it. When I was a teenager I had to do the finger-in-the-throat trick - it was gross and took a second to get it right. By the time I was 20 all I had to do was think about the feel of puke in my mouth or imagine the smell of it and voila, there it was..... Haven't done it in YEARS but it would sltill work today, I'm sure. Now I still don't eat as much as folks THINK I should but what I DO eat stays down...)

  • aww poor calista, she suffered in real life too...but shes still a great actress :) x

  • is that kitty out of brothers and sisters ??

  • oh, this movie is so very much about me...

  • I was once bulimic and ruined my gallbladder and had to have it removed. It was awful.

  • @byrdyfull Are you fucking serious? This girl has an eating disorder and you want to bitch about how gluttony is a sin? Fuck off

  • @birdyyyful ur an idiot OBVIOUSLY! u knwo whats a sin.. retards like you!

  • @birdyyyful wtf is your problem!!!

  • @birdyyyful That's not gluttony moron. It's a serious eating disorder

  • this is more like a portrayal of a shallow, materialistic family.

  • @birdyyyful Kind of like my family, and I had an ED.

  • @birdyyyful you're one to talk.

  • Everytime I feel like I've eaten too much...sometimes I just eat nothing.

  • She barely stuck her finger in her mouth and her mom and drill team are ridiculous!

  • @AmythestDusk actually once you have done that many times it doesnt take your whole finger to make yourself puke(I know because i suffered from both Ana and Mia and it was not fun) I got to the point that if my mom made me eat taht I wouldnt have to stick my finger down my throat I would just have to think about it and it would happen.

  • @AmythestDusk It's not actually real, it's just an actress portraying someone with bulimia. Doesn't necessarily have to look real. :P

  • @EuropeProductions666 I didn't mean to say you weren't relentless. Sorry if it came out that way. Maybe its a blessing in disguise?

  • @EuropeProductions666 i was pretty determined i guess

  • what kind of drill team kicks you off if you gain more than 5 pounds?? It's high school for god's sake. Really???

  • the mother bugs me. you dont say that stuff in front of your young daughter. no wonder.

  • @EuropeProductions666 began crying*

  • @EuropeProductions666 i know! my first time was horrible. i began trying after five minutes of trying and failing. finaly got it though

  • I dont feel good , when triggered I feel like vomitting .

  • @rihannawillowlover I know I havent done this in years I have actually been rearly good but I have been feeling like going back to my old ways and it is screarning me because I cant have my 4 year old daughter doing what Mommy does.

  • @jsrcamp when i was 17, i used to be builimic too, i stopped it on my own thank god, it really did nothing tho but make my probs worse, but i couldn't acknowlwdge that then

  • @jsrcamp its great that you havent done this in a while and you are an amazing mother because you want better for your daughter . your an amazing person . those negative voices scream to all of us at times. when its time for us to do better we all want to cave and go back to those nasty , horrible tramatizing times because it brings comfort because its easy ....to us but i am so inspired that you let go of your old ways ..

  • Did Calista have a nosejob? She looks completly different on Ally McBeal

  • FINALLY~

I've seriously been looking for this movie online for the past hour because i couldn't remember the name of it. >_>

Nobody knew the name of this movie. -___-

  • @clythismystica lmao. yea. that was yrs ago. i went to the service and im bout as fit as they get, but good one. i highly doubt u r all u say anyways. the internet must b amazing for u. lol!

  • i can so relate to this video, i'm bulimic and anorexic.

  • @WitchBitch13 I am too. But I just ate dinner wasnt even hungry , felt like shit and still do ... im such a dumbass ... DONE IM DONE WITH FLASHBACKS !! do you have days when you just want your life to end ? I surely do.

  • That is so messed up, I practically ate my whole chocolate cake all by myself with no guilts. lol

  • I remember seeing this movie, but I had no idea who Calista Flockhart was at the time. Kinda ironic how she was called anorexic and lost all that weight when she was in Ally McBeal.

  • To sonyxxmunions:

I'm sorry for what I said to you, about mary margaret. I had no right to call you that. and, I'm really really sorry. Please forgive me.

  • I'm not absolutely sure if the narrator of this film is Calista Flockhart or the real Mary Margaret. I'd go with the latter, because she speaks in a definite monotone. Anyone know for sure?

  • whats funny is that calista flockahrt is really bulemic

  • Comment removed

  • @LongIslandChicka but that's NOT funny!!

  • Nope- no help for Ana/ Mia teens- just a fan site. This was an unfortunate casting for such a role... Just google image search her- she looks so frail. I understand this is a disease just like a kidney, liver, or heart disease. It's just the chemicals that happen to reside in your brain. There is help if you want it.. I really do feel that I don't know each of you that are suffering, but I love you. :)

  • I'm going to the website at the bottom of the video to see if it's still active- an actress with an ongoing Ed doing an Ed psa just seems wrong. I hope she gets the help she needs- my sister made it through, and so can you guys :)

  • wow she must be rich, did you see the size of her house?! it's a friggin mansion

  • she has long fingernails...GROSS.

  • i am drawn to this, she speaks the truth, i cried the first time i watched it as it was like watching myself and how bad i could get. x

  • people, please STOP COMPLAINING/CRITICIZING about how she throws up in one second, the short story makers cant make EVERY SINGLE THING to be life-like and so accurate. ok? no actor/actress likes to act like throwing up every single freaking second. WOULD YOU LIKE IT? so freaking SHUT UP.

  • what did she say?-Someone once said the eyes of the mirror to the soul...?

  • its ally mcbeal!!

  • Who is the actress that plays Mary Margaret? She is very pretty! I wanna know who she is.

  • @FrankIero123 calista flockhart, she played ally mcbeal, and just recently married harrison ford.

  • She puts her finger into her mouth and throws up right away, that's not realistic haha

  • @SonnyXXInvisible ,,something to laugh???i can do that also..why not realistic?

  • @posje well, I couldn't, but I guess then I just didn't do it the right way, eh?

  • aha - the cliché idea that 'one finger down my throat and the food disappears'

Writers need to research their work. However,I really like her character, very believable

  • If only it were that easy to get rid of it...I wish you could eat all that and get rid of it so quickly. Lies....

  • when she stick one finger down her throat... yeah thats definitely not how bulimia works....

  • LOLOLOL *stick finger down throat* *instant puke*

  • since when do scouts hang out by the drill team field?

i love how the popular guy asks her out as soon as she loses a few pounds

  • since when do scouts hang out by the drill team

  • There is no way you could throw up that quickly!

  • Wait she does not look like a teenager...

  • @bettyford13 Haha, exactly. It's like there's some magic button that if you touch it everything pops out right away.

  • lol, the 90s.

  • She doesn't look like a teenager. She looks like she's in her 30's.

  • @abercrombiehllstr well, they didn't believe in teens back then to act as a teen, the first movie teens was acting as teens was "Ten Things I hate about You."

  • yes you can I have been eating a max of 500 a day for almost 6 months now

  • @jsmith0433 Please be careful and ask for help!! See a therapist! I've been at the same place!

  • great movie

  • Anorexics and Bulimics suffer from Body Dysmorphic disorder, it is a form of mental illness. I know because I have it. I have been on medication and do not feel like I need to destroy my body in order to look beautiful. I suggest those of you who have ED should definitely talk to your doctor about getting on some medicine. There is no reason in the world for you to kill yourself or harm your body because of what your brain distorts when you look in the mirror.

  • @raisetheflag88 not all anorexics and bulimics suffer from BBD it's just more common in people who also have EDs

  • @cornetto169 I'm a former bulimic and I suffer with BDD

  • @TheNextAvrilLavigne yeah i was saying that not all people with ED's suffer from it, but alot do... i'm quite sure i have BDD... but never mind...

  • nice cheerleading gloves!

  • I survirved on not even 450 calories a day for a good 3 weeks

  • worst acting ever

  • look I was on a diet and I only had 500 calories a day and all non fat stuff. I got sick after a week. I felt so weak and just a feeling of malaise. No one can really survive on 500 calories a day for too long.

  • @tarathetarantula i agree with you 100%, good comment

  • @tarathetarantula

some ppl live off 100 0_0

  • 3:35 her bangs bother me. :S

  • Comment removed

  • its actally a cruel irony that Calista Flockhart was/is anorexic in real life even though she denied it.

  • Good!

  • no one should ever feel the need to resort to Anorexia or Bulimia..

  • i love watching this, makes me feel like im not alone

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, this is extremely similar to my life..everything she said in the beginning totally describes me..Ugh i wish i wouldn't have to constantly worry about my appearance 24/7. It holds me back from doing so many things i want to do :/

  • we watched this in health

  • i remeber this one!

  • Thank you for putting this up!!!!!!!

  • I can't make myself puke no matter how hard I try and I'm not willing to try ipecac. But anorexia in my younger years led to a major surgery since my teeth weren't weak. I'm 32 now, still struggle with eating especially since some meds put on weight. I'll always struggle with it, but as I said I'm 32 and I have osteoporosis, constant pain. I wish I could scare away those who just *want* to be anorexic or bulimic.

  • It's not a choice it just happens. If anyone needs to chat message my inbox here.I watch these clips to gain strength from my experiences and those of others. I also use it as a reminder of what can happen when things go wrong. I'm still fighting and will for the rest of my life.

    It's not a choice.

  • Nobody wants to be anorexic or bulimic !!!!

  • @ambera15 yes, they're called wannarexics, and they DO want a eating disorder.

  • @Wandall13

Then they´re simply unaware what eating disorders really are. Naive and stupid.

  • @ambera15 that actually isnt true.have u heard of wannarexics

  • @ambera15 i agree!

  • "for the first time ever i could eat anything i wanted and get rid of it, i finally felt like i was in control.. it was one of the happiest moments of my life"

oh boy, i've been there, *sigh*.

  • I hate how they showing purging as so "easy" as if 1 shot of putting ur fingers down ur throat gets it out, maybe a hint. I had to do it til nothing came up but acid....Wish it was one huge puke. Easier on my esophagus.

  • @Cherrylips333 I feel the same way as if it's that easy I kinda wish it was I would be able to instead of chokin then everythin come out. I have the hardest time when it comes after eatin keep it down or get rid of it 9 outta 10 it's the 2nd one *sigh*

  • hey hun I am here for ya. I made 1 crappy video so far and will make more. Pm me if u like...where are u from?

  • at 1 point in my life i was desperate to lose weight and was willing 2 try anything other than drugs. so i went to fst food rest. and bought a shitload of food. i went out and ate it all and tried to puke it up. i couldnt make myself vomit no matter how far i put my damn finger down my throat. good thing it didnt work. never tried it again, and i found healthier ways 2 lose weight. poor girls that actually go thru life this way.sux i had 2 deal wit all the food i ate that night though >:l

  • Even after inpatient treatment, I continue to struggle with Bulimia and anorexic tendencies. I use it as a stress coping mechanisim, specifically due to the high levels of stress at work and strain between my relationship with my boss. I have tried to find another firm to relocate to, however, my search has been fruitless. Im so stuck

  • I have done the same thing. More so that I felt I had overeaten to the point of feeling sick, and then I went to the bathroom for an hour and tried to vomit. I sat there and shoved my fingers down so far it made my throat sore, yet proved useless. I just couldn't get it up. Since then, I just restrict my intake and exercise a lot.

I wish everyone could be happy with their bodies and themselves. It should be inner beauty that counts the most. God loves us all. Why can't we love ourselves?

  • @sonyxxmunions That's great that it didn't work. Once you start its hard to break the cycle. I'm glad you found healthy alternatives.

  • @sonyxxmunions u dumb bitch u can die like that!!!!!!

  • @teldar5 i'm obviously not a dumb bitch since i stopped trying to do it, never went thru with it again, and i am healthy now- oh yea- and alive... dumb fuck. >:)

  • @sonyxxmunions Sad cunt =/ guess you'll be fat for the rest of your life then! Oh well, we cant all be thin and beautiful like me and mary margarette. I can throw up anything i eat or drink without even trying. Jealous? =]

  • @sonyxxmunions I've tried to make myself vomit sometimes (one time that I felt really bad because I ate something that made me sick, and other time I just ate too much) and it is very hard for me, too. In this movie they make it look so easy.

  • lately my stomach has been hurting a lot, and today at dinner my teeth were sore. does this mean something? ever since i started bulimia my grades have dropped because instead of studying i've been eating and then throwing up.
