I appreciate everyone trying promote this dead game but saying it is the new skyrim is so god damn stupid. They said it was going to be a medieval FPS, not a RPG. Get it right!
Not only did they cancel it, and from what it looks like with no intention of continuing it, they also refused to give the people who worked on it what they had made in that time so that they could continue it independently. This makes me so fucking angry!
its funny how this is comparable , now , to skyrim. but at the time this project first took off was in 2007.. yes.. oh fuckn seven.. when MW 1 came out.. when games were good skill based and free to plays were a thing of the future... and this game was lead by only 3 ! THREE developers.

That combat should be what skyrim is like and the no compromise graphics make me happy and hopeful that one day we'll see this game released to the public.

Just give the game industry about 3 years, and we'll have RPGs at or above this level of quality & open-worldness. I just wish that the Offset team got rewarded for all the work they put into this. :/

i saw this in a fanmade trailer of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and this looks fucking awesome. it tricked me into thinking itt actually WAS gameplay from TES V Skyrim
I find those proper fantasy games really immersive than those modern day games, I love fantasy games that not the manage style or have childish aspects to it. I would like to see a future Baldur's Gate series that have potential graphics like this.
At 0:57, look at the detail on the stone next to the crossbow, AMAZING detail but unreal for a game I think of our time, mayby in 10 years? more or less...
everyone contact intel with emails on their website explaining why they should make this game. Takes like 5 minutes of your time or more depending on how much you write. If they see there is a clear market for this game they may consider rehiring the team as they are trying to renew their contract with intel or even to get the rights to this game
After reading the comments I know people will ahte me for saying this, but: What´s so special about this game? I just saw this video and if that was the final stand of the game (meaning there weren´t any improvments after this) then this game looks preety medicore. The way the enemies fall to the ground is ridicoulus. The old Dark Mesiah of M&M look better than this one gameplaywise, and only slightly worse graficwise.
Okay, I think I just saw a newer version of the game which indeed looked quite good. Too bad I will enver fidn out how good the final product could have been.
Also, the combat looks like total shite. But it LOOKS amazing visually, some of the destruction they were showing off early on looked incredible. Too bad the combat is uninspired garbage.
Intel fired the original team, everyone. Intel now owns the rights to the IP and the engine. The Offset team is trying to get the rights back. Everyone, write letters to Intel. We can help them.

probably because this isn't actually possible on commercial grade pc's. No game that has that much detail will play that smooth on anything. Fuck we're still having trouble running crysis.
@david02129 If by "commercial grade PC's," you mean "$850 PC's built 5 years ago," which is what a few non-gamers may still have, then yes, they have minor trouble running Crysis and will have problems with this. However, anyone who games on a computer will have a modern one. Pretty much no modern system would have problems running this game. If they do, PC games have adjustable graphics settings.
@david02129 god damn im getting tired of you people who think we are still having trouble with crysis... crysis is easy to get running smooth. it does take some money, but if your waiting for it to become commercially possible then you wont get it that way for about 7 years. hell, go try some original crysis.. can you play that with your POS dell?
if it wasnt for these games with high detail, computers wouldnt need to get better, and consoles wouldnt exist.

By commercial grade pc's, i mean your medium to high end builds, not some preboxed dell. Crysis 1, maxed settings, with full anti aliasing is still pretty much impossible for any machine configuration below 900 dollars. Considering it's about the only game with such insane requirements, it's stupid to pay that much on a pc for 1 game. it's like buying a ps3 at launch.
Maybe you should check your facts before you talk. This is effin' REAL time. Everything project offset related is. Intel closed the studio, because they are money-hungry SOBs. No Larabee? No problem! We close you and take your tech and use it in our hyper expensive CPUs!
@david02129 Lol, talke for youself. I played the crysis 2 demo already and on high settings, except for a once in a while preformence spike it works with atleast 40 fps.
@david02129 Well we wouldn't entirely know remember the game was owned/bought by Intel which are on of the top main PC hardware makers they could off easily develop the game with different settings for each range of hardware users. Crysis on the other and a third party Developer wouldn't know how to take advantage of PC hardware as much as a Company like Intel, AMD, or Nvidia would. PEople don't use AA like crazy unless they are on a shitty resolution on a big screen.
@efgragin I don't understand why people think you need supercomputers to play a game with graphics like that. A 3 year old computer could play it with pretty much 30-60 fps . The game's graphics are already very outdated.
@david02129 Actually when I was playing Crysis my computer was lagging pretty far behind. It was a dual core 2.6 with 3GB ram and a radeon HD 2600XT, but even with that I could play crysis at medium with 25-35 FPS, and low at 35-50 FPS. I heard about some integrated cards coming out that can play games like Just Cause 2 at 25+FPS.

probably because this isn't actually possible on commercial grade pc's. No game that has that much detail will play that smooth on anything. Fuck we're still having trouble running crysis.

@david02129 If by "commercial grade PC's," you mean "$850 PC's built 5 years ago," which is what a few non-gamers may still have, then yes, they have minor trouble running Crysis and will have problems with this. However, anyone who games on a computer will have a modern one. Pretty much no modern system would have problems running this game. If they do, PC games have adjustable graphics settings.

@david02129 god damn im getting tired of you people who think we are still having trouble with crysis... crysis is easy to get running smooth. it does take some money, but if your waiting for it to become commercially possible then you wont get it that way for about 7 years. hell, go try some original crysis.. can you play that with your POS dell?
if it wasnt for these games with high detail, computers wouldnt need to get better, and consoles wouldnt exist.

By commercial grade pc's, i mean your medium to high end builds, not some preboxed dell. Crysis 1, maxed settings, with full anti aliasing is still pretty much impossible for any machine configuration below 900 dollars. Considering it's about the only game with such insane requirements, it's stupid to pay that much on a pc for 1 game. it's like buying a ps3 at launch.

@david02129 Well we wouldn't entirely know remember the game was owned/bought by Intel which are on of the top main PC hardware makers they could off easily develop the game with different settings for each range of hardware users. Crysis on the other and a third party Developer wouldn't know how to take advantage of PC hardware as much as a Company like Intel, AMD, or Nvidia would. PEople don't use AA like crazy unless they are on a shitty resolution on a big screen.

@efgragin I don't understand why people think you need supercomputers to play a game with graphics like that. A 3 year old computer could play it with pretty much 30-60 fps . The game's graphics are already very outdated.

@david02129 Actually when I was playing Crysis my computer was lagging pretty far behind. It was a dual core 2.6 with 3GB ram and a radeon HD 2600XT, but even with that I could play crysis at medium with 25-35 FPS, and low at 35-50 FPS. I heard about some integrated cards coming out that can play games like Just Cause 2 at 25+FPS.

@The3rdPage I don't know how to install mods, too complicated for me right now, maybe when I grad college with some knowledge I'll put some mods into the Elder Scrolls Six, *wink wink* ;) But right now I'll play the cleans mods, and when my birthday comes 'round I'll get Alien Ware, just for the fun of it! :)
But really, it depends if you like to game on a console or the PC, I prefer PC, myself, but it's up to the TES's fans to decide how they want to game. o3o

Skyrim can't use this engine (well they could, but they probably won't) because this engine is so awsome the PS3 and Xbox360 can't handle it, only really advanced computers... .-. Although if it looks just half as good it will be phenominal
