Has absolutley NOTHING to do with how high or low the pump pressure is set. NOTHING.
It the OPV valve. Try loosening it a half turn, then turning it back to where it was. ITs the spring inside the the valve which, under resonates under pressure. Its just another lovely sound of Vibe Pump machines.
Has NOTHING to do with the output pressure... It would happen at 6bar or 12bar.
You might consider replacing the OPV valve seat as well., since ytou'll be in there, and its a snap to change out.
i was wondering whether you figured out why it makes that noise? my quickmill anita is less than 4 months old and has been making the same noise for a little while now...
I think it has to do with the opv (over pressure valve), It has nothing do with the pressure setting by the way. I´ve learned to live with since it´s nothing "dangerous" to the machine. One day I maybe will change the valve (opv). If you solve the problem, please let me know...
I had a similar sound on my Brewtus when i had a new improved Over Pressure Valve fitted. The screeching on mine was just air within the OPV, it doesn't effect the quality and it goes away after a while.
This sounds just like it, so it could be that, but dont take my word for it :)
What the hell is that squelching noise get that thing fixed.

pump pressure too high...that's definitely it...you can tell by the back pressure when the 3-way solenoid releases after pulling the shot.

Yes, that's because you are using way to much pressure... Trim it down to 9 bars....
