Let me share with you some esoteric information on dolphins. Dolphins, whales, basicially the cetacean species are earth's record keepers who live in the oceans. They are the living library, similar to the Trees who are record keepers too who live on land. They are highly conscious beings and are naturally telepathic. Watch the documentary "The Cove," and you'll see that hundreds of dolphins are taken from the wild each year. This test has been failed by even children of the age of three. A few animals actually are smarter in some aspects of the brain, for example a chimp can recall 10 numbers which flash up on a screen for a second, which hardly any human could match. A number of animals can do basic math and solve puzzles.

Self recognition and self awareness are different things, just because they can recognize themselves in a mirror doesn't mean they necessarily are self aware. awww so sweet, selfless, beautiful, and intelligent. Not the first time, their was a newspaper article years ago about the dolphin that saved the girl from being attacked by 2 sharks, the dolphin distracted them and evn fought them till the girl reached shore, apparently the sharks were circling her bout to attack when suddenly the dolphin appeared next to her and protected her... i wonder if it was this same dolphin as apparently it was a well known one like this moko in this video

@SuperMrsPunk : yes, dolphins and whales communicate- it's been studied for decades and their communication appears to be pretty complex. God made all creatures with a way to "talk". I guess the more we love animals and pay attention, the more we can see that.

@Anime2351 I fully support this but you must know that pigs are also one of the smartest animals on the planet.. Yes they may not look as nice as a dolphin but it is a very intelligent creature. To be completely honest any self aware animal should not be killed for food.

@wannabethug7 they are self aware in a very primitive way, not the same way dolphins are. No I don't care about pigs being killed. They are delicious. Dolphins are a different story.
dolphins can show compassion, empathy, communicate verbally, analyze and problem solve, make friends, form complex societies and use tools. They are also the only animals besides for elephants, humans and great apes that can actually "think about thinking".
that's the difference between dolphins and jaguars.

I'm not trying to save the animals that must be eaten to keep the nuisance we call humans alive, I'm saying it would help keep the wild population in good shape. Also, I don't think there will ever be a way that people could breed whales on a commercial scale. But, I am totally against the commercialization of food all together. It's BS.

@TheImmortalWeapon Actually there are plenty of animals which are aware of themselves, for example a chimpanzees, dolphins, pigs, bonobos and a couple more can recognize themselves in a mirror. This test has been failed by even children of the age of three. A few animals actually are smarter in some aspects of the brain, for example a chimp can recall 10 numbers which flash up on a screen for a second, which hardly any human could match. A number of animals can do basic math and solve puzzles.

Self recognition and self awareness are different things, just because they can recognize themselves in a mirror doesn't mean they necessarily are self aware. But this is just my opinion of course, I'm not a chimp so I can't say for sure. It's all very interesting :]
