sweet buddy :D.. im kinda confused though. I can jump a motocross bike but not that well because ive never been to a track, when do you lay off the throttle? is it before or do you just keep it on? do you stand up when approaching or sit down? thanks :D
For your first times i'd stand up, make sure you always land standing up, you can rev the whole way up the jump, or before it, if you're going to nose-dive when you're landing, hit the throttle to drop the back end, if you're front wheel is up in the air hit the back brake in the air to bring it down
Nice vid - pkakac hope you master your jump technique but remember anyone can twist a throttle and jump ; it's CORNER SPEED that separates the men from the boys. Master THAT and you can run with anyone...
nice vid, thunder valley my favorite track too badi didn't get to ride that day because of my concussion, i got from racing in oklahoma. its amazing what a little mistake can do.
Check out my crash on "berthoud mx crash 1-11-09" from last Sunday's scramble. Dude took me out hard on 1st lap. I had helmet cam on. GPpro wide is a very durable camera. Cracked 2 ribs...
AVI files should upload but if the files is very large, the script seems to timeout and never finish. I would recommend editing the video down if it is larger than 50MG. On the mac use iMovie and export it a an .mov. For this particular video, it was about 15 minutes long so edited it down to about 5 1/2 with Windows Movie Maker and exported it as a .wmv with their 'vhs quality' settings.
Thanks for the response! Nice riding, I ride Thunder & Berthoud allot, I'm just at the level where I'm not quite clearing all the jumps and landing/bouncing as hard as possible at the end(s) of them...any thoughts from an more experienced rider?
The key to clearing is simple, just have enough speed. When I was learn to jump I found that 'sessioning' single jump until I had it wired worked for me. Pick a jump you want to master and hit it over and over again until you have it. Remember in most cases its better to slightly over-jump the under-jump.

Its actually the over exposed sun, some cameras will turn it black if the White is too bright.
