  • nice speech though...

  • brilliant

  • i like stiglitz, but as a speaker he seems like he's suffering constipation. i suggest he drink a strong cup of strong coffee, blow it out in the toilet, feel better and perk up the thinking and chatting process, he'd give a much better speech

  • fantastic report .. congrats =)

  • Mr.Stiglitz is too confident to give his advice to Junta of Myanmar for Economic Development while the nation is under the under severe corruption of Junta's buddies?

My question is that Sir, while there is no Law above the Military Generals businesses, what does make you so confident to talk with Junta who are now under the hand of Resource Vampire,China?

  • Expose the New World Order!

  • @HULLOHULLO15 Please don't. :-(

  • @HULLOHULLO15 "Expose the New World Order!" Seriously? Go do some real research, besides Alex Jones crazy rantings. See Michael Shermer's 'Why do people believe strange things' and 'RDF TV - Baloney Detection Kit' and 'The pattern behind self-deception'. If you aren't willing to be realistic and pitch in to make a better world, at least don't ad to the masses of confusion and frustration like Tea Party nutters or 'believers' of NWO, 911 truthers, Illuminati/Free Masons, Bildeberger. Good day.

  • Sloganizing and ranting, I agree are unhelpful....but listen to Chomsky and he freely expounds the existence of elites who pretty much control media, finance, debt and trade....oh and war too. The Bilderberg group does exist, it's no secret and they are immensely powerful people. Sometimes a decoy ranting about the truth can misdirect people from it. I've heard the civil engineers who built the twin towers raise serious doubts about the official explanation of 9/11. These are sober men.

  • @exchangeisno I appreciate such theories that contain empirical evidence, but the vast majority of conspiracy theory proponents apply their paranoia indiscriminatively, thereby becoming irrational masses that slow progress in general. I am for a certain form of globalization, not the 'NWO', for example. Also, a longview using technology as your guide reveals that many of todays 'issues' will become moot on their own as industries and social construct transform.

  • @MindfulFuture

Yeah, there're a lot of key words that make me feel like a stint of head bashing off a wall for a variety of reasons....''illuminati'' ''free masons'' ''aliens'' etc. I just wait for the all inclusive...'jewish, alien, illuminati free-mason conspiracy theory of everything.

But as the patient said to the doctor, ''just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me!''

    lol

  • @exchangeisno "just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me"

True enough, but I think we should let the facts guide us not merely our emotions or sense of agenticity...instinct is often incorrect.

Anyways, it sems like the one's who 'run things' are getting the dumbed down society they have worked so hard to create over the years...easy to distract...thank FAUX News too..

  • @MindfulFuture

The 'paranoid' quip was a joke, by the way and I know only too well that intuition is not always reliable... and sometimes useless. Mathematical probabilities are routinely counter-intuitive yet correct.

I don't think I'm gullible but I know that the best of us is sometimes fooled by a well worked scam.

  • 21st Century Enlightenment?

Joseph Stiglitz makes no mention of the enlightenment(s), which the renaissance genius of the 21st century witnesses.

He makes no mention of the genius of the philosophy of aesthetics, and the connection between their enlightenment and the abstract art movement of the 20th century.

He also makes no mention of the reformation of education into the interdisciplinary, which will naturally correct the world economy of the 20th century.

    Cheers!!!
