My entire life I was always having people tell me, "You're a great guy with a lot of potential, but I think you might have ADHD." I was always the one to say, "No, that's a made up condition, and I don't want to take drugs, because only scumbags do drugs."
I finally dropped my pride, and went to a phychiatrist. He told me about Concerta, and woudn't you know it, I'm going to Law School!
If you believe in God, like I do, I assure you that this does not negatively affect your spirit whatsoever.
concerta , take the white stuff out of it and let it disolve in mouth, effect is better than coke and lasts for 4 hours, dont do this for longer time, will get fucked up, sometimes i got very horny from this. but it destroys you, it is drugs!
Concerta works fine for me. I can concentrate better at work and do not need earphones to kill the "white noise" in my head. I also take Medikinet when I have exams or something.
I have ADHD, I take Concerta and Ritalin, (90mg concerta, 20mg ritalin) and I feel better than ever and I can manage my problems with great ease if compared without the metylphenidat.
My depression vaporized when I got my medication. Sure, it might now work for anybody. But it does for the majority. If you have ADHD, try it, if it doesn't work... to bad.
(P1)I have taken Concerta and Ritalin since I was 7yrs old. Im 22 now. I stopped taking it in the middle of my Junior year of High School. One of the best decisions I ever made in my life. While I was on these psycho-stimulants,I hardly ate, I was anxious, anti-social, and overly-cautious, almost overwhelming sometimes. My GPA was about 3.25 on the drug, unfortunately my social skills and opportunities suffered immensely....
(P2)......When I stopped taking Concerta, I started eating better, made more friends(way more), did things that I wouldn't normally do because my intuition and natural desires were controlling my actions not some psycho-stimulant. My grades dropped about .5-.75 AT FIRST. I learned to cope with my reality of school and homework though, not the easiest thing but worth it. This shit turns you into a ROBOT. I highly recommend alternative methods of behavior control, they ARE out there....
(P3)...Talk to your parents and Dr about these drugs(adderall, ritalin, concerta, ect.). I have had my Dr tell me it's synthetic COCAINE. You ever see what a coke head looks like after 20 years of daily use? The answer to those who have ADD or some variant, comes within yourself. Responsibility, focus, clarity of mind. Do it yourself. Do it FOR yourself. Be who you are because thats who you are, not because of a pill. Just though ya'll should hear that.
@88arau Wow that didn't make much sense at all. ADD is a recognized learning disability and medical condition. So instead of taking medication people should just believe in themselves and this mental condition and chemical deficiency will vanish? As someone who has personally struggled with ADD all my life, I can say with complete confidence that you have no business giving "inspirational advice" about something you know nothing about....
@88arau PS - there are several medications that have street drug properties. For example: lets say you got into an accident and broke your leg, they'd put you on morphine - which is essentially synthetic heroin - what you should do is just believe in yourself and DO IT for yourself!!!!! And I'll make sure to tell the next homeless paranoid schizophrenic person I see to ignore all medical advice and just be who they are, because that's just who they are, not just some pill! - you've been owned.
@88arau BA of science in Psychology?....I have my BA and two double masters. Sorry bud, I one up-d ya there big time. I agree that there should be a holistic approach whenever medication is involved. For example meditation has worked well, exercise amongst other things. "cant sit still on his own" wow, you basically tried to qualify yourself by boasting about your degree, but clearly you didn't learn much, unless you got it in 1968? And I guess this moron just owned ya twice....
@88arau You are wrong. Concerta and ritalin are methylphenidat, not cocaine and not amphetamine. It's in the amphetamine family, yes.
But the dosage is approximately 1/200 of a line of speed. The medication is given so as to reduce ADHD symptoms and have minimal side-effects. I have two side-effect, dry mouth and reduced appetite. I counter that with water and eating what a balanced diet. The gain far outweigh the cost.
I don't know how it works in your country, but it works where I live.
@Dumass88 I get cold sweats, loss of apetite, and not depression but people have asked me if i was depressed or sad when on it but i never am. It makes me feel so much more focused and concentrated
I was rummaging through pockets in the change room one day for some change when I came across the 54mg Concerta. For half of the pill I will be in for what I hope to be a productive day of finishing up all the shit that I usually dont give a flying fuck about. Still I hope the kid "lost" the thing got by.
Its great, I pulled up all my grades really fast I am more focused and can remember stuff better, the side effects suck though I sometimes get really nervous and one is I hardly eat anything during the day. I have to make myself eat. Other than that, its good/ I mean I benefited a lot off of it, if this answers your question email me if you want to talk more about it . :)
I don't have ADHD or anything. but I think I have Amotivational syndrome or something...when I pop a concerta every once in a while, I feel like I can just focus on whatever I need to do lol.
concerta is real cool if you have weed or alcohol or something else for the coming down stage. IF NOT DONT TAKE IT. Try adderall where the comin down effects are not so tought cuz with concerta its a bitch
hey stupid if u take it daily u are immune to its side affects im sayin if u take it recreational to have something to help the coming down...UR A BITCH RUFUS GET FUCKED
@MrSpemat I cut my concerta in half sometimes and just take the white half.
The brown half is the time release bullshit.
The whitey/yellow half = good ol methylphenidate, baby.

Not only has this allowed me to work through College, but it's positively affected every relationship I have, from my grandmother to my girlfriend.
This is not a cheap drug, but I assure you that it is the highest quality ADHD medicine out there.

But this is clear bullshit. through and through. FUCK ALL YOU HATERS.
CONCERTA HELPS THOSE WHOM REALLY NEED IT.

I can put on one 30 mg Daytrana patch and that equals like 4 of the 54 mg Concerta pills in me as far as effectiveness is concerned.
I find Concerta to be worthless unless you eat like 4-6 of them (for ADHD).
