For those who are getting this all wrong...

The official album version for this song had PAUL MCCOY from another band called 12 Stones ... and she was told she had to put some male vocals in there for the Daredevil soundtrack, so Paul volunteered for the job.

btw I love this version ... it's ... different ;)

I now understand why everyone keeps saying its evanescence and linkin park. Even though the male singer sounds nothing like M. Shinoda. Plus Mike sings a completely different version of music the she does. Linkin Park is too rap-rock (only thing i know to call it) to do a song with evanescence. Paul McCoy was a good choice I think. This is a great version though, without the male vocals.

If Amy had just sung as easily and less tensely as she did on the Fallen version, this would be perfect. The other thing they could've done is provide her voice with that slight echo present in the Fallen version. Don't get me wrong, she still sounds great, but not the same.

One thing I've noticed about Amy's vocals in many songs , is that she finishes off sentences of lyrics strong and doesn't trail off , as if she's run out of air . Example being , the last part of this song when she sings " life " . A very long note and a great ending to it !

Thank God Mike didn't agree to do this song. He probably realized it was just Wind-Up records trying to use him to gain Evanescence popularity. By going with someone lesser known for the male vocals, they made themselves popular without having to piggy-back off of LP's fame. Not bashing Evanescence here, just saying the label was being greedy and Mike did them a favor by allowing them to gain their fame by themselves, otherwise they may have just been a one hit wonder.
