One would think to get that big you would do more weight. I do 30lb. (3sets of 10) and I'm much smaller. I would think you get a different muscle than what he has with a lot of repetitions

A lot of cunts bitching about the weight he lifts LMAO. I think you guys are watching the wrong video. Go watch powerlifting videos if you want to see biblical weights
@kshuxxx It's for beginners. Not to mention the fact you're suposed to start off light and work your way up with each set to get a warm up, avoid injury and to make the most out of working out. Doing just your maximum isn't beneficial and you'll end up hurting yourself delaying your next exercise session due to recovery time.
i noticed u brought the dumbells further down than what ive seen in other videos, other videos tell me to keep the dumbell height so that ur arms are parallell with ur shoulders (in other words not bringin the dumbells so far down) because it keeps the tension on them...true?
@DreadfulControversy Is it 25 per dumbell or 25 per weight? Cause if it's per weight then those things are 50lbs each right? Plus this is a guide for beginners. And that is a pretty good starting point for someone with noodle arms I'd suppose.
@millgiass 25 per weight? What are you talking about? Do they look like 50's? Those are 25 pounds, wouldn't be surprised if it was 20, as small as they are.
@DreadfulControversy I just wondered cause I have puny muscles and am really outta shape and I can do 25 no problem. I figured with arms as big as his he'd HAVE to be doing more than me.
@millgiass Probably used it for demonstration purposed. I'm sure he can do more. Big arms doesn't equal big weights though. There's different categories of weightlifting.
@TheChainer1234 If it also clicks when u you use lighter comfortable weight then your elbow is jacked up. If not then you are using too much weight or going too high or too low..
@daniells71 I think it should be ok then, the elbow is fine when i use light weight, I think i should train my arms separately then, because my left is alot weaker than right. thanks

@PatrikDC I'm not racist man, I apologize if I came across that way, the commenter I was responding to brought race into the mix and I was just using his vocab. Sorry. 1 world. 1 love
@usukker why you speak too shitty English and don't understand he's not trying to impress but educate. He's using low weights to show proper form and to not intimidate people. He doesn't want people to pick up 90 lb weights trying to imitate him and hurt themselves.
@lolboya No, that is actually a myth. When you start lifting weights, your muscles need to expand and your bones also. Because of that, your body will expand and grow. Hope the advice helps.
It appears this instructor has built an attractive, muscled body (except for the chicken neck) for no purpose other than appearance and I would caution all beginning lifters to consider what sports they enjoy when embarking on an exercise program.
Take for an example Schwarzenegger, a 7 time Mr. Olympia. Consider how awkward he looked when he ran in his movie roles. On the other hand, look at the "useful" muscularity of someone like Randy Couture. Think "utility" when working out.
@gigololounging ROFLMAO oh really Mr Muscle Guru and what about you? What have you accomplished that you can share with the rest of us. Please teach us inexperienced beginners how to lift? -.-
@CoLdsnipa To get the most effective workout, and to avoid injury... you should always start with a super small weight and get good form. Gradually increase the weight each session. If you ever start to break form, STOP the exercise. Lower the weight if you need to, but do not attempt to push through with bad form. That is the quickest way to injure yourself.
@robertsonak01 It's simplistic to say "do 15 reps". Everyone responds differently and only through experimentation can one find optimal growth/endurance/recuperation etc. Good to mix it up. Don't train just because it's Thursday and bench and back day. Workout when you feel motivated and such should be pleasurable, not drudgery. I see too many guys overtrain and do too much...and like this man, for whatever reason, neglect to strengthen their necks. Dudes, a powerful neck is a must.
@CoLdsnipa Afterappropriate warmup, go for 3 sets of 5 reps with good control of the weight. Just do Squats/Deadlifts, Bench, Pullups/Rows. Isolating the tiny bicep muscle as shown in this video for beginners is ridiculous. Spend your time doing basic power building movements that employ numerous muscles.
@13andincrediblycut just because you can doesn't mean it is good for you you can still build big muscles if that is your goal at a slow and steady pace. don't forget that your body is growing and can be easily damaged for life if you put too much weight to fast.
@13andincrediblycut OMG congratulations seriously thats cool and all but NO ONE CARES Im 18 years old a senior in high school and Im in the DEP to become a US Marine and im going to bootcamp in july NO ONE Cares about what im doing or what you can do so stop going on every single workout video and commenting about how much of this or that you can do
I lift things up and put them down.

@PatrikDC I'm not racist man, I apologize if I came across that way, the commenter I was responding to brought race into the mix and I was just using his vocab. Sorry. 1 world. 1 love

why he useing too light weights?!!
usukker 1 year ago
@usukker why you speak too shitty English and don't understand he's not trying to impress but educate. He's using low weights to show proper form and to not intimidate people. He doesn't want people to pick up 90 lb weights trying to imitate him and hurt themselves.

@captainSTROO yes. he shoule say that in the video :@

does weight training affects height growth ?
lolboya 1 year ago

Think "utility" when working out.

what is a good weight for beginners?
CoLdsnipa 1 year ago
@CoLdsnipa To get the most effective workout, and to avoid injury... you should always start with a super small weight and get good form. Gradually increase the weight each session. If you ever start to break form, STOP the exercise. Lower the weight if you need to, but do not attempt to push through with bad form. That is the quickest way to injure yourself.

@CoLdsnipa
start at the bottom like 15 lbs and then find a weight that challenging for you
robertsonak01 1 year ago
@robertsonak01 It's simplistic to say "do 15 reps". Everyone responds differently and only through experimentation can one find optimal growth/endurance/recuperation etc. Good to mix it up. Don't train just because it's Thursday and bench and back day. Workout when you feel motivated and such should be pleasurable, not drudgery. I see too many guys overtrain and do too much...and like this man, for whatever reason, neglect to strengthen their necks. Dudes, a powerful neck is a must.
gigololounging 1 year ago
@gigololounging Why? Trying to build up immunity to a surprise neck assault?
PatrikDC 11 months ago
@CoLdsnipa Afterappropriate warmup, go for 3 sets of 5 reps with good control of the weight. Just do Squats/Deadlifts, Bench, Pullups/Rows. Isolating the tiny bicep muscle as shown in this video for beginners is ridiculous. Spend your time doing basic power building movements that employ numerous muscles.

I'm 13, drug-free, and my max shoulder-press is 280lbs, or two 130lb dumbbells for 4 reps using full-depth at a bodyweight of 201 and 6'4". :)

MixingLaboratory 1 year ago
@13andincrediblycut just because you can doesn't mean it is good for you you can still build big muscles if that is your goal at a slow and steady pace. don't forget that your body is growing and can be easily damaged for life if you put too much weight to fast.
