I visited Meru National Park in 1985 and took a photo with one of the white rhinos as my background. A few years later, all the few white rhinos in the park, under a conservation program, were decimated by poachers. Other than the rhinos, there were lots of elephants in the park and huge rivers. A good place to visit.
