Nvidia vision is nothing more than a scam, you don't need it AT ALL to play games in 3D, al you need is a 3d screen and nothing more.

Can't nvidia cards just output a normal 3d image via HDMI, and then let the user choose what technology they wish to view it with??! What if I use a polarized projector?

The only possible reason I can think of is that the card renders at 120hz, but to optimise the accuracy of the image seen, two consecutive images are 1/120 s apart in the game. This way, the image shown through active shutter glasses are both at precisely the correct time, an effect that cannot be achieved with Blu ray 3d.

@fmmjqtft1 I'll also add that I hate the "quest for FPS" attitude. 24fps is enough. The problem is the lack of motion blur which makes it look choppy. One way to do motion blur is "sampled", where the FPS is increased, and averages are taken.

A far more efficient way is vector blur, where a visual blur is added in the direction of movement. I hope games/graphics cards start using this instead.

@fmmjqtft1 Yes, you don't need anything nvidia sell to use 3D with anything. Aslong as your screen is 3D enabled you can use the d-sub or a HMDI to play 3D video or games. A HMDI could go to a projector also.

@Poboot . ..frst of all you must setup nvidia vision..then got to nvidia control panel/stereoscopic/enable stereoscopic...open game..Ctrl-T,Ctrl+F4 to medium....Enjoy :)

OK, I've got a GTX 590, the 3D Vision setup, a 3D monitor (I have played many 3D games just fine), and I just downloaded FireFox 5.0.1. But I get this on the NVIDIA page when I'm trying to enable NVIDIA 3D Vision for YouTube: "Hardware Check - You do not have stereo currently enabled. Please enable stereo if you wish to watch stereo content." ... OK, so how do I enable stereo? And when I click "HTML5 Stereo View- NVIDIA 3D Vision", it just says "HTML5 video is not available on this page..." HELP

Must be the fact Im on 64bit and the combination of that and my graphics card I guess... I notice that I cannot turn on AERO effects for window either, I heard this is necessary to use the 3D in HTML5 (on youtube). Maybe they will get it working sometime... until then Ill have to use my 3dtv to watch youtube in 3d
