the original 70's version was the one which was on air in the 80's when I was a kiddo in Manila and the one I have seen so many times. It was a great song. I made a cover in fact lately. LOL

The scene that appears on 0:35, features a man or woman sleeping in a boat while fishing, and then on 0:37, the fishing pole moves up and down as of being a fish biting on his/her lure.

"The scene that appears at 0:40-0:41 shows a man sleeping and resting on top of a couch or something. And therefore... the window (also at 0:40-0:41) seen behind the sleeping man happens to have some raindrops on it from outside; since it seemed to have been raining outside for that matter"! :D

I never noticed the Twin Towers until now. I think I was watching Sesame Street around the time they changed the versions of this so I remember both of them. I think I liked this one a little bit better.

I guess by the time they did this (1994 or so?) they figured it needed it, but looking at the '70s one, I can't see much about it that stands out as dated, apart from the cars. (Well, and that carseat. My God, people used to put their infants in those?!)

Maybe they figured it's a sulbliminal thing--even small details being up to date would make a modern kid relate more immediately to it. This WAS when they started getting rid of the older films, though some 70s Muppet still hung around.
