Cool singing, actually. It's simple, without any pretention. It makes the song even "creepier" than it already is, in a certain way. Like he's describing how he's going to kill you in an atrociously painful way, but with a perfectly normal and calm voice.
JPJ = legend of the highest order. He was also responsible for the seminal Carouselambra on In Through The Out Door which was a wild amalgam of disco, prog and metal. Brilliant!
I think that JPJ has known for since a long while ago now that he's always been exceptionally cool. His relative mystique coupled directly in part with his seemingly eternal underratedness, simply has always added extra to the absolutely untarnishable extent of his coolness.
@staernpeder I agree 100%!!! (but just so you know, it's entwistle w/o an H. there's actually a funny pic where he crosses out the H in an incorrect spelling of his name and writes "theres no f***ing H a**hole" and signs it).
JPJ actually wrote A LOT of the riffs and arranged most of Led Zep's songs. It is a crime he isn't more well-known. It's a good thing he is shining via TCV.
@toxin789 he joined them crooked vultures, witch includes dave grohl on drums, josh homme(qotsa frontman) if you havent heard them....DO IT THEIR EPIC AMAZING KICK ASS BAND!!!
This was better than Jimmy and Roberts solo work because of who this man is: He is the boss. He made Led Zeppelin what is was and is. Without JPJ, there is no Led Zeppelin. Nobody on the face of this Earth can replace his spot.
I definitively like this song. The only solo song I heard from JPJ (yeah, I'm going to listen more right now lol), and I love it. I kinda like the vocals, in fact
easily the most talented musician ever to grace rock n roll. his engimatic vocal styles are creepy, intruiging, and haunting. one of the greatest songs i have ever heard.
killer . JPJ composes wicked songs effortlessly . Maybe his new band TCV will reveal him for the sonic genius he is , to those who don't already know.
alot of classc rock bassists were, well, not the best, but always over looked, roger waters, roger glover, JPJ, Geezer butler, neil redding, etc, all amazing but all pushed aside with the lights on the rest of the band -single tear-
people hardly recognize JPJ's huge contribution to Zep because he was always in the back while Page and Plant took the spotlight, but his solo work is proof of his musical genius. it reminds me of King Crimson
I feel like a shitty musician now.

JPJ actually came up with A LOT of Led Zeppelin riffs. He is at least equal to Page in terms of musicianship.

@ubernerd35 Yeah, and he did it without dating 14 year old girls, like Page. Is that pedophilia?
