I enjoy the puzzle solving of the older games. I don't care about the combat, the puzzles in these new games suck, if they even exist.

I don't know how to make the TRLE games work, can ayone tell me how to do it? I've dowloaded several but dont know what to do. I wish there were some official new TRs in the oldskool TR style. these ones just, I dont know, have a better "atmosphere" to them, imho he classic TRs will always be the "real" TR games.

do you have TRLE installed? You have to have the official TRLE installed before playing custom levels. Type "Tomb Raider Level Editor - Download" on Google and use the "tombraiderchronicles".

Ask more if you still have problems. Or register on" trle net" forum and ask there.

Oh yes, there are LOTS of custom levels that are much better than the new Tomb Raider games.

Erm ... this is a custom level by Richard Lawther. Its an extremely hard puzzle so its not recommended if you play modern games.

Because Anniversary and Legend are part of the new "dumbed down" generation of TR games. In fact, most Legend and Anniversary players would cry at the sight of any Classic TR game!

Not sure what do you mean by crying, but I've played Legend and Anniversary, and have tried the older ones for PS1. Happen to scare the shit out of me |D And give off a waaay too complicated feeling .D' But I do like them too, and adore them in a way ~ (:

I think you did it the way Richard Lawther advised, I tried but could not manage it, I did it another way, which I found to be easier.

I like this Dxtre3d 2 editor I found....in a way not but yet better than the offical tomb raider 4 level editor wich is that becuase it not only editos the level's itself for 4 but 1-5!!! THATS WHATS MISSING!!... a TR 5:Chronicles editor thats what the offical one should have been if Eidos'core design was gunna ditch the whole engine for angel of darkness's one and than ditch core design itself!!!

hey, I'm at the part where she makes the stage 1 device (the next room) and I can't get her to use the crowbar to pry it out. what am I supposed to do?

Did you do these:

"Stand Lara on the left side of the machine where you see a blue arrow and the words Stage 1, and use 'action' to place the Intelligent Plastic into the machine. Now go to the right side of the machine where it says Fabrication and use 'action' to place the Signal Bolt into the machine. Now head over to the lever and use it. The machine will grab the items you have placed into it, and the glass case will open revealing the button"

Exactly. Today the games are just fancy graphics and short games.

The developers spend too much time greating stuff that people dont even look and same time the games get boring.

Maybe the game will be even more hard to control on PC than the last two one were, but the gameplay... nope, i dont think so. They are now making this game for kids. Core Design Tomb Raider games were made for adults, or at least over 16 year olds. Crystal Dynamics is making games for UNDER 16 year olds. There's the difference.

yeah i agree, i'm a big fan of all tomb raider games, but i loved all of the old ones, i think TR2 was the best of all the old series because it was just so cool, and all the levels were all different

I liked Tomb Raider 4 (The Last Revelation) the most. It was really long, and I loved that it was in Egypt, and the first two levels when she was younger. I would have liked to be able to go to her house in that one though. I love playing around at the house. ^_^

Man...you really need to get the green flare stick model for Lara off some other skin using wadmerger....cus in 4-5 it seemed like the flares were glowsticks instead of actual flares sens in these there's no fire on top :D
