It's not that being pragmatic is bad, but in my context I meant to say that Biden will avoid making bold political decisions that have to be made because he lacks the balls to go through with him. Real change happens through people who will boldly implement policies even when they're unpopular (Civil Rights Act in the 60's for example). Biden is the type of moderate who will pussyfoot both sides of the debate to attempt to reach consensus--a process that has ruined Washington.
That's not exactly true, especially considering how divided our country is right now compared to the 60's Civil Rights era. LBJ won in a landslide. Then Nixon won in a landslide. If you expect this next upcoming election to be a landslide then you're seriously dreaming. This is pragmatism: we're going to have a strongly divided Congress for a good while now until there's a long period of housecleaning... and that's not gonna be for a while.

It is becoming pretty clear they will steal this election. When it happens we as Americans have a duty to shut this GVMT down. All corrupt politicians, media, police and military units are legitimate targets. However violence is not the answer. Leave it to the professionals. I am not a Democrat or a Republican but i am a Iraq Veteran. When i was in Iraq the first time we were patrolling the streets of Anbar on a Humvee made of fiberglass. This man, JOE BIDEN went against his party and introduced the senate and voted to have a supplemental fund to fund the MRAP vehicles. He went against his party to do what is right. While everyone was playing the blame game and forgetting those who were actually there.He has gained my respect and vote.

If his past drinking problems weren't enough, his famous foot-in-mouth disease should have kept him off any list.
Or where he got sued for campaign speeches saying his 1st wife was "killed by a drunk driver." Actually it was his wife who was drunk, and he had to apologize publicly to the other driver's family.
Our local campaign committee won't even put out Obama-Biden signs, just ones that say "Obama," to minimize the damage if Biden blows it again.

fair enough. personally, i think the debate will be excellent. they are both quite well versed. i personally feel that biden adds a lot of flash to his debates... but thats just me. sarah palin is a little more raw. i dont despise palin, i respect him. obama, on the other hand, i have no respect for the man... and believe me... mccain is not my favorite but i do feel he is the better choice. there is just too much dirt on obama. he needs time to ripen.

But Biden is an equally impressive speaker, who is well informed on the full gamut of potential debate topics. It's not that being pragmatic is bad, but in my context I meant to say that Biden will avoid making bold political decisions that have to be made because he lacks the balls to go through with him. Real change happens through people who will boldly implement policies even when they're unpopular (Civil Rights Act in the 60's for example). Biden is the type of moderate who will pussyfoot both sides of the debate to attempt to reach consensus--a process that has ruined Washington.

That's not exactly true, especially considering how divided our country is right now compared to the 60's Civil Rights era. LBJ won in a landslide. Then Nixon won in a landslide. If you expect this next upcoming election to be a landslide then you're seriously dreaming. This is pragmatism: we're going to have a strongly divided Congress for a good while now until there's a long period of housecleaning... and that's not gonna be for a while.
