we have rescued 2 of or 5 dogs. Bella our lab/golden is a really great girl. best idea we've had. we rescued a chihuahua that needed a home after being a breeder dog. she's now happy n loving a quiet life

@GoneToTheSnowDogs I've been trying to convince my parents to let us get a husky from a rescue near us :) This weekend I am taking all my old books (I have ALOT!) and selling them at a bookstore, if all goes well, all of the profits made will be donated to the Huron Humane Society!

Awesome video and pet poem... Poem like this always bring tears to my eyes, yes I'm that sensitive when it comes to animals in need.. Thanks for what you do and be sure to convey to the people to do their homework as well when adopting an animal, to be sure it's right for them... We adopted our Siberian Husky at 1 year old (Our 2nd pup) and with patience and time, learning the rules, Oreo turned out to be an awesome husky...

@999AnnA999 Not currently, we did get ferrets for the first time this year. Our Shelter is very small, and underfunded. One day we might be able to do that, and there are many shelters out there that do those things.

You are the best role model ever. down here, where I live, a horse got out of the gated area it was in and me and my dad tried to catch it because up the street from my house we have a busy road and didn't want the horse to get hurt by a car. So we ended up saving the horse. The horse was only 1 year old and was very skinny until we took it to the stable that I ride at and we nursed it back to health and now he is healthy and my cousin is leasing him. His name is Dj.
