XR500V amd CX500V is excellent in a dark scene.

And the blurring correction of CX500V is the best.

But, Canon HFS11 is the best in a bright scene.

5D mark 2　is different　category.

The 5D II has problems, the camera has to be focused on a central point and if you pan the camera the quality is lost and focus has problems adjusting etc. The Xr500V also has focus problems, my guess is he was using manual focus for this footage where he has to pan the camera.

Firecoderblu is hardware board(MPEG2-H.264).

I took this movie with auto-exposure(standard mode).

This camera can not use to limit the gain.

I took this movie with handheld and monopod.

but, Active Stabilization is very good.

I think canon S10 is better about sharpness than 500V.

However, it is a fatal defect in S10 that does not have EVF.

Do you lose any visible resolution with the active mode or other artifacts?

I think for low-light the Canon will win if you're willing to switch to 30p+cinemode (since that gives you extra stop advantange).

Best camcorder would combination of the 2:-)

Was all of this done hand held? If so, the Sony's Active Stabilization is truly awesome. So is the low light performance. I'm really starting to lean toward this camera over the Canon HF S10, even though the Canon has a sharper image.

コメント有り難うございます。編集は、Edius pro5とAVCHDのハードウエアーエンコードボードのfir­ecoder bluを使用しています。ハイビジョンテレビで観賞用のフルＨＤ­のMPEG2のデータとして出力してPS3とハイビジョンテレビ­で鑑賞しています。

PC用は、そのデータをTmpg Enc Xpressで720PのWMVに変換してここにアップしていま­す。
