  • considering one of these for my first bike.... im a larger guy 6 feet 2 inches tall. and weight 280 pounds .... would this bike be good to learn on ? - i have never ridden a bike before in my life but always wanted to learn ....

  • Hey mordeth I have learnt on a honda xr200 dirt bike and in the next year going for a license the limit on a learners license over here is 250cc should I get one of these for my first ever sports bike?

  • this bike or the yzf r125 for an absolute beginner

  • ending was nice lol =)

  • i really wish i could get this as my first bike but noooo~ my govt decides that beginers are only allowed to ride 200cc and below :( ended up buying an aprilia tuono 125 instead.... this gonna be my 2nd bike i guess :D

  • u should get a aprilia rs 125 or a aprilia rs 250 there both 2 stroke and they are rapid and nimble rs 125 top speed is 110mph and 250 is about 140 mph

  • honestly .. the 250 ninja is nothing compared with cbr250rr .. back end looks weak with that skinny / small tyre .. and it sounds like a R125 with a race exhaust on .

    however ... the NEW cbr250r is DAMN ugly , and also sounds poor . Cbr250rr ( 1991)

.. best 250 money can buy imo , i own one and wont even sell to get a bigger bike

  • im a begginer...and what do you think the ninja or the cbr 250s??

  • My plan

    1: Get the Ninja 250

    2: Ninja 600cc

    3: Maybeeee.....1000 (Probably not)

  • @texlyon Thats my plan too brother.

  • Love thending

  • hahaha nice ending!

  • I got one of these... i love it

  • Haha on the other side of the spectrum, would this bike fit a 5'3 170 lb guy? I remember sitting on my cousin's Honda CBR600 and I was on the very tips of my toes. Not cool!

  • Hey m13, I would like to get this for my first bike, but i am 6'2' 235 LBS, and i am afraid I would be too big for the bike. What would you suggest?

  • @smooglepoot dude ya same!! 6'1" 225 would we fit? lol

  • @socc3rfanatic1 we may be big on it by our selves lol. But if we got on it together we may fit. ( in a not gay way)

  • @smooglepoot Can I borrow some of your height? Im only 5'3" xD

  • @freddytwigs I wish, Im only 17 and i dont think im done growing, lol.

  • weak bike....

  • @junkano shut up

  • how much you pay to mount sliders

  • how much is the 250r in Taiwan

  • what are sliders....?

  • @tripp6575 something you put the side, so when it's slide (crash) it will protect the bike and take the worst damge from the tarmac

  • my dad got a red honda..

  • I learned on a 250. Problem is you outgrow it too fast since its not really meant for speed, mostly in-city commutes (i.e. it gets boring on straight roads). I upgraded my 250 to a 600 after a few months then 1000 a year after that (Kawi, Honda, Ducati respectively). Its up to you, spend considerably more to practice on a "slower" bike first then move up, or spend less on one fast bike that you dont know and crash. [One bike = 2k-20k usd, my three bikes = 35k usd].

  • would you recommend this to an absolute beginner? it would be my first bike.

  • @Bjorgl Yes, I would. But only if you get it 2nd hand for a good price. And make sure to put sliders on it before you ride it.

  • @13mordeth hmm it is alright for someone who weigh 50kg?

  • @13mordeth im desperate to find one 2nd hand, but no luck so far. U think the price for a new one is too high for its value, or u just a cheap bastard that wouldnt buy any new bike? lol

  • @13mordeth why second hand?

  • @MyBoogeryBooger If you buy one a few years old say for 3k a year later you could sell it for 2800 maybe even 3000. If you buy one new they are 4k plus dealer and crate fees so otd close to 5k and if you wanted to sell it you could only get like 3600. The initial depreciation is the greatest when its new but after that initial depreciation it continues to depreciate at a slower more steady rate.

  • @MyBoogeryBooger

Coz you ARE going to crash. unless you have big wallet its almost always better to get a second hand bike especially if you are a beginner.

  • can you test a cbr250rr?

  • Hey! love these vids! .. i just bought a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 636 ! still learning to drive though lol.. good choice!? =)

  • Thanks Mordeth, I just bought my first motorcycle!

  • Darn, they don't sell the EFI here in the Philippines. :(

  • for me the best motorcycle on the world is Ninja gpz 900R

  • is this the fuel-injected or carbureted version?

  • @amerri injected

  • ROFL. nice ending, you should do it more. :D

  • nice bike bud (:

  • It's over priced for what you get and you know it

  • the 250's for overcrowded urban heavy traffic environments

  • @2001bmw330xi Or curvy mountain roads.......or smaller sized race tracks......or commuting.....or etc...

  • @13mordeth It really depends on the rider. Personally I have more demand.

I would rather the bike whos average speed is the other bikes top speed.

Better to have and not need then need and not have.

  • my first bike was a 250 ninja......was fun for like 3 months then i got a 750 ninja loved the hell out of it

  • i had a 07 model and sold it 5 months after buying it unless your like 15 1/2 or 16 and normal weight you will be depressed that you dont have something bigger

    i was 15 1/2 and about 5ft 7 190 lbs

  • that's my dream bike!

    but the black one :)

    nice one man :))

  • Holy WTF, your voice changes dramatically in the first 30 seconds. It's almost like puberty, but in reverse.

Incidentally, I rode the older generation 250 Ninja for a few months, years ago. I'm tall, so I'm sure I looked ridiculous, but it's still one of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden.

  • lmfao the best ending

  • What do you think of the 2010 model mordeth? Any other changes? I'm unsure but didn't they put more power to the mid range RPM for 2010 or was that on the 2009 as well?

    Peace

  • when I want to laugh and see Taiwan, I come here. thanks.

  • @ EmptyDarkWorld

So very true and funny !!!

  • this is the bike i want to move up too after riding my 125 for a year. i saw the 250r in the show room were i bought my 125 and it looks soo sexy.

  • test drive a ninja zzr 1400

  • i thought your bike was red,.T_T

  • I crashed my 2008 model in the first 4 months i had it = ( some car did a U-Turn infront of me without checking.

  • i was thinking about getting one of these, fairly inexpensive, great for city riding as you have said before :)

  • That guy at the end will go home, google mordeth13, see all these freakin awesome videos. Regret being a dumbass for not knowing M13.

  • have you ever heard of mordeth13? m13? no!? ok i suck! LMFAO i nearly pissed myself x

  • who's bike is that?

  • He said testdrive... Rings any bells?

  • Beautiful motorcicle, I want to get a black at the beginning of next year.

    embrace all.

  • its a great bike, but if you buy black, you cant really see the design, and it makes it look kinda like the old versions of the 250.

  • LOL "ok i suck"

  • i like your wife's bike. lol

  • and m13 my bad bout talkin crap on ur vid theres just some retarded people in this world and 1 of them happens 2 watch ur vids...

my bad dude if it pisses u off

  • Mordeth doesn't care, he told me so... but I heard his son dislikes it, not quite sure on that one...

and... That is a low blow! don't call yourself a retard! I can't even think of a comeback when you make fun of yourself T___T

Mordeth cares so much hes going to sick the Taiwan police on us and they will settle this dispute once and for all, in a 4 on 4 clan match of mario kart.

Whats this 'my parents dont love me, your an accident' stuff? I gave you no such knowledge that I even have parents

  • That bike is hot.

    Also the ending was great

  • fucken badasssss brooo

  • lol at ending

  • 5 stars for the ending - it's so hilarious :]

  • Love the ending :D

  • I heard taiwan know has bikes over 250cc, i.e gsxr 600 and 1000's. is it true? can I have my cbr 600 there?

  • that looks sex

  • the green trim on the wheels is nice

  • "Did you ever hear of Mordeth 13? No?" Guy shakes his head no. "Ok i suck."

  • super green! ;) "no?" :D of all the common colors for bike, black, red, green, black n orange, or some other blend, r the coolest looking. ;o)

  • The 250 is a nice bike to start on. A little lower and lighter than full on sport bikes, and without all the torque to put you on your ass the first time you do something stupid with the throttle.

They're FUN if you are coming down from a bigger bike to. The way you have to wind up through the gears just to get onto the highway makes you feel like a GP hero :)

  • yep, wind it up! my ninja 250 is a great little bike and so fun in the twisties.

  • Awesome. it was funny when the guy shakes his head "No..LoL Good job Moreth.

  • "You ever hear of Mordeth13.." The lot of people I work with know who you are thanks to me. ;)

  • And so? -.-'

    Smart Ass

  • was that biker vlogging 2?? lmao

  • awesome bike

  • I almost opted for the 250, but bought the 650 instead and I'm glad I did.

  • Haha, loved the ending. That made my day.

  • hahaha mordeth !!!

  • ever hear of mordeth13...no?.. i suck

lol you have your work cut out for you

  • That is an awesome bike!

In the netherlands there were bout 60 of them imported, and withing 2-3weeks they all were sold!

  • YES! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!

  • Looks awesome!

  • Man the new 250's look alot more manly. I always thought the previous 250's looked weak.

  • They're still mostly the same bike under the skin. 17inch wheels help a lot though. Friend of mine was flogging one and wiped out on the factory tires though, be warned they come with some slippery touring jobs from the factory! I wish there were more 250s and 400s in the States. This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I wish the US would adopt the Au/UK tiered MC license system, more for the artificial small bike market it would create than safety.

  • Thanks for doing this review.

  • Says the guy who knows nothing....about bikes.

  • @13mordeth more like nothign about life. keep going your vids are awesome

  • @13mordeth more like nothing about life. keep going your vids are awesome!

    Hello From Melbourne Australia

  • @13mordeth ha ha ha if the 250 is a terribe bike id love to see your impression on a good bike....BTW you know nothing!

  • @13mordeth This is my first bike and I LOVE it, just enough power and its rly light and agile.

  • @GTAdc5r I have one and it's the best bike :)

  • @GTAdc5r

    whats wrong with it?

  • i really like this bike, you inspire me to ride! I currently own a ninja 250 1990 model. Ninjas are my favorite, even over CBR's!

  • weee

  • Nice bike

  • Hahaha, "I suck".

  • Looking forward to this series. Congrats on your 20000 subs by the way.

  • yay 20.000 subs, congrats!

  • haha you don't suck Mordeth, that guy sucks....

  • LOL heard of m13?

  • can't wait....

  • looking smexy

  • Wow, that looks like the perfect first bike for me! Smaller than a 600 yet sporty.

XenoRacing I'm with you. I don't understand people buying cheap parts on eBay like they're true performance parts. I own a Civic but I would NEVER buy a part on eBay.

  • "You ever heard of Mordeth13... M13?" *shakes head no* "Okay i suck..." LMAO you certainly DO NOT suck

he is missing out on all the good laughs us fans get xD

  • Looking forward to the rest of this series and your impressions. Currently riding a 650R as a commuter bike, but my roommate had a brand new 250R for a bit. Great fun little bike with awesome flickability to help new riders learn the dynamics of motorcycles with controllable power.

However, although it's a blast in the back roads and streets of Taiwan (I go back every year during New Years), in the US, with our crazy highways, I feel far more confident knowing I got the mid/high pickup.

  • .....mid/high range pickup on the 650R*

  • What would be the best first bike to get? a buddy at work told me not to get anything less then 400cc because everything below is crap and wouldnt be good for were we live with the highways and what not but no more then 500cc or i will kill myself. suggestions anyone?

  • it really doesnt matter. as long as ur tall enough to reach the ground than your good to go. i know girls whos first bikes were 1000's and 600's . the average quad is faster than thie 250 ninja

  • be sarcastic but yea its slow

  • hmmm ok that makes sense thank you. quick question you might think its silly but im serious i dont actually know but, how come you cant drive quads on the road? i mean put lights and gauges on them and you got everything you need right?

  • you can...

  • they why doesnt anyone do it? i personally have never seen a street legal quad.

  • dont know why but in n.y. your supposed to register your quad and they gve you a plate but you still cant ride in the road no matter what. by the way my first bike was a 1999 r1 , i was shook to death but learned and was fine

  • So they can charge you for the registration, obviously.

  • @Jbarnswell Ya if your commute is all highway. You should probably get something bigger. I dont know if you've thought of it, but even a super moto bike will do the trick. A nice DRZ-400 or something, and you wont necessarily kill yourself. You drive as fast as you want too. If you get a 600 you just have more power when you need it you dont have to use it all.

  • @CARMAGEDON28

Thanks man, Ya i have thought about a supermoto there sick! I ended up geting a 89 cbr 600 for $1000

  • @CARMAGEDON28

Thanks man, Ya i have thought about a supermoto there sick! I ended up geting a 89 cbr 600 for $1000

  • @Jbarnswell not a bad price at all. Have you noticed what people always say about killing yourself is a joke.... You feel in control even when you want to go fast, and M13 you really do rock

  • @CARMAGEDON28

Hahaha ya i see that a lot, and even for a beginner rider the 600 is still very controllable.

  • I'm really thinking of picking one of these up for next summer. cant wait to see more. Thanks!

  • AHHHHHH MOARRRR

  • how fast is a 150cc?

    as in top speed.

  • A 150 2 stroke can do almost 120mph.

  • m13 #1

  • I wish Honda would make a 250cc

    The CBR125 looks like crap

  • No m13 doesnt suck that guy does

  • I think 250 is good for racing in twisties and corners? if the tire is a little bit wider

  • wow I almost pissed my pants at the end! haha. Anyways I just went and looked at 250 ninjas today and Im pretty sure thats the motorcycle im gonna get. If i like your review then I am 100% gitting the 09 or in a few months the 2010 ninja 250r =) Plus they are only 4grand brand new!

  • ehh, i have a zrx 1200 kawi and 250 ninja.. i have more fun with the 250.. flickable, doesnt get u in trouble when u flick the wrist and forgivable when taking the wrong line. also could kick any want a be valantino rossi prentender on the twistys.. drawbacks are at speed crusing on the freeways, gets jittery and unstable. just because its low on cc s dont discount it. anyways i have a big dick and dont have to prove my manlyhood with a posser big bike..

  • OMG Mordeth i nearly died at the end, i laughed so hard i choked. Much love dude!

  • the end lol. You'll reach super stardom at some point man.

  • you got to show your stuff in local biker hang outs or something

  • Thanks Mordeth... I've been hoping to see more of you and this bike.

  • I have little bit of experience of riding but I might find intimidated riding a 250 cc especially next to my buddies with R1 and ducatis.

i keep telling them to suck my ding dong !

  • lol u rev a kitty cat and they roar lions lol

  • thanks a lot for making me feel better.

  • sorry lol but it dont matter what you ride

  • lol the end was GREAT !! hahahaha

  • Please test ride a honda interceptor? i am buying a new bike this spring and i just cant decide between the CBR 600 GSXR 750 or the honda interceptor. what do you think?

  • for long ride I would recommend the Interceptor!

Between cbr 600 and gsxr 750 I would get the cbr 600 because I love the looks and the under tail pipe is fucking awesome!

  • gsxr is louder

  • yes a gsxr is louder, yes the 250 only goes 120 mph but it's only a 250. thats like having somebody review a Dodge Neon and then you commenting going "a Z06 is louder" "don't they only go 120mph......" and 120 is pretty good for a 250cc. and oh cute Midnight Club cars. yeah "rate my car" on youtube. also cute neons and exhaust on your 1995 old ass piece of shit accord. go touch yourself and play some more video games you ricer douche bag.

  • its not a fukin ricer u faget ass lickin homo and i realize its a 250 ther for beginners i mean u dont give a 15 year old a zo6 and u dond give a squid a busa or a zx14 and its just a question

  • the "gsxr is louder" comment right after the "only 125mph" comment just made you look like a dick. and jesus learn to spell...

  • look dude i wasnt trying to look like a dick i was just asking a question then i was just saying there louder because some people only buy things because there loud which is stupid and there trying to get simplified spelling so it would be easyer to learn to read and write so it really dont matter how i spell but i was just saying

  • haha like hondas :| people with civics buy those shitty ebay exhaust that sounds like afucking bee buzzin and same with a non functional BOV / bypass valve. why the fuckkk those pricey brand name ones are sex for exhaust note though

  • i used to like hondas but now i see to many of em and thats not my car ...i want a truck and non functional bovs r wack if i had a car i want a supra.,....there like the perfect car for turbo

  • my bad for being such a douche. i was frustrated that day.

  • its ok everybody has thoes days

  • Comment removed

  • Thats quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No Civic has ever been released with an engine with less than 10-1 compression. And turbo charging a VTEC model is even stupider. I can see your generalizing things you've overheard on the internet, and that you are probably still in grade school. Btw, stock R32/33/34 Skylines don't go over 200mph, sorry to break your heart, they don't even go over 160mph.

  • Honda have very little torque and are crap without turbos. The higher compression ratio you have the less boost you can apply, so the lower your compression ratio is the more boost you can use. Yeah i never stated a factory compression though and and i know 8.5 to 9.1 would be an ideal compression ratio. also who said anything about skylines and im going to assume you didnt realize they either said or implied km/h in which yes, they do even if it does require the speed limiter diffused.

  • its just that civics and accords r to typical...if somebody has a s2000 that would be nice and hondas r good for turbo setup most of the time

  • Sorry it took me so long to reply, I was laughing at how stupid you are.

  • how am i stupid

  • HAHA< You made me laugh

  • awesome! really looking forward to the rest of the series! i've just acquired an 04 gpx, best fun i've ever had

  • THATS WHAT MY BIKE IS, except mine is black. I love it.....its so sexi

I love it, i cnat wait for more videos :D

  • No, 250cc bikes are a good begging bike, no matter what gender.

  • The 250 is a chick bike? Well the GSXR 1000 is a small penis bike.

And I've ridden both. I'd rather have the 250.

  • yeah! 250 cc !!!

one or two woman that i nknow thinks 250 cc is slow. why do they keep saying its slow ? it pisses me off . Faking woman they are nuts!

  • dont they only go 120mph.....

  • 120 mph for a 250cc is damn good.

  • you have a reason to go faster than that? lol 120mph is fast as fuck!
