Actually, they're the same in personality. Megalon is a wise and kind soul to everyone, especially Jet Jaguar,(and he may even like Mothra) however, since he only listens to his people, he must continue with villainy.

Ya know if you think about it Gigan and Megalon are sort of like brothers and heres how in Godzilla vs megalon he teamed with Gigan and if i remember correctly if you play gigan in GU Megalon is support so all in all Megalon is like a little brother to gigan and they are there for one another. I know its giant monsters but still.

I never really viewed Megalon as an alien, being he comes from underground. But, he's hardly protecting anything, so he's not an Earth Defender. He's not mechanic, so he's not GDF. And, the closest he got to being exposed to radioactivity was his fight with Godzilla, so he's not a mutant.......WHAT IS HE???
