I'd like to add that the Radeon 6770 is the replacement card for the 5770 and supports DX11 and is a bit better. It's what I use and I've yet to play a game it couldn't handle. Runs GTA4 @ 1920x1080 at all medium settings at 55-60 FPS.
They are quite costly, but I love their cases and they get awesome reviews. Cyberpower gets many mixed reviews. Like a PC being DOA or some crap. I dont want that. Here are my specs:
@yuriy4535 The first build, the only thing better about the second is the graphics card, graphics cards don't matter right away though, anything from the 5000 or 6000 series should do nicely. Focus on your processor and memory first, research the processor you want to buy, generally search for how power hungry and demanding said chip is. For memory, don't go overboard if your just planning on web browsing and gaming, if your video making and such, pack in as much as possible.
I didn't build me new computer, but it cost 40 bucks for assembly at ncix. i would rather pay 40 bucks, then accidentily shorting out my 170 dollar motherboard.
im glad i built my own pc for christmas last year, great components that are most of the time half the price of a crappish build you can get from PC world :D
Thanks for this video bro it helped so much!, Before watching this I was going to get some cheap ass power supply and cheap RAM, Thanks to your advice I found a nice Corsair PSU and Corsair RAM
my pc is i5 2500k quad core 4gb ram 1666mhz but it has an ati radeon hd 4870 :( so im gonna get the radeon hd 6770 :) my machine is nice and is *budgit*
@Vitoman901 It does on cod4 its a bug in the quake engine 125 gives you a jump distance advantage where as 250 gives you a jump height advantage and 333 gives you jump and distance which is banned in promod because it gives you too much of an advantage, all of these numbers are integers of 1000 which is the max cod4 runs at
@GenericGamingChannel you can try and look for the one I have. It's a Raidon Atx 5600 it's about $125 so it can be in everyones budget and it's a really good graphics card. Can hold bf3 in med. Settings and play Cod4 - Black ops on med-high settings.
@GenericGamingChannel those cards are outdated now, i'd probably suggest either gtx 560, gtx 560 ti or for a little bit more gtx 570 or radeon 6970, they should be able to run through the majority of games on full settings and are not too expensive.
@quazoh you have almost an identical PC to be besides the GFX card (yours is better) i can get BF3 running at about 80fps on ultra settings so i would say COD4 wouldn't be a problem
Try them out, I got i5 2500k (pre-overclocked @ 4.5ghz), radeon 6970 and a bunch of other stuff (8 gig ram) for £800. They do charge £25 delivery though, but they are by far one of the best companies for price and quality.
u should realy update this now you can get a amd x6 for around 600 to 700 and u could get a 6770 or a 6850 and dont always go for the cheapest pc they will rip u off go for a pc that 1000 and under and with some tweaks u could get it to about 600 to 700
how much would a comp cost with an i7 processor and a good bit of ram like 8gig? i wanna mainly have a fast computer for editing and having a little gaming side.
Just built one. Managing to get everything for around ~1100 bucks with a $150 monitor. Yeah, I'll be upgrading it, but this should be a great start getting an entire rig that will run everything I currently want. Thanks for the help, now I don't have to bother someone else with it like an asshole
@o0PrepsirE0o I doubt you'd have a computer like that without already knowing its good, but yes, it is very good, very high-end. 12gb ram is almost un-necissary there is so much of it, the i7 2600 isn't as overclockable as the 2600k, so if you are planning on doing overclocking get the 2600k every time. the GPU is good, might want to spend that little bit more for a 6870. Hope this helped :)
If your making it yourself, I'd highly recommend the 2600k, as it probably isn't more then $50 extra. You can probably go down to 4 or 8 GB of ram, and get the 2600k with a Hyper 212+ cooler. The i7 2600k benchmarks 983 points more on then the 2600 plain on Passmark
Although that set up is fine, the plain i7 2600 is ranked 14th best processor on the market right now. The 6850 is ranked 12th best GPU on the market currently. Its good.
If you want to start PC gaming and you're not a fucking 12 year old, I'd say you should build your first computer. You learn tons and you'll be able to diagnose and fix most of your hardware related problems just from what you learn while putting it together.
@Beatlist9 it will run it fine. you can run minecraft on pretty much any system made within a couple years. onboard graphics could possibly get the job done as well lol

hey im new to pc, and i wanna play cod4 and other games so i was wondering if this computer will be fine. AMD Phenom ll quad core black edition Geforce GTX 560 overclocked Artic cooling alphine 64 pro cooler 14-25 db motherboard: ASUS M4N75TD RAM: corsair/kingston 4 GB DDR3, 1333 Mhz PRIMARY HARD DRIVE: Samsung 500 gb 7200rpm same secondary hard drive Windows 7 home premium Corsair CX 600 W V2 PSU, 80+ CERTIFIED If anybody knows please reply to me.
@joakimsommerlund Really you shouldn't bother with CoD on PC. As great is PC is for all games CoD should really be played on console. But thats just me.
@bigtimebop If you are talking about the intel i3 series, then yes. you will be fine, otherwise, it'll work but not ideal. Also 8 gigs is overkill, no need.
I like evga is my personal favorite it can cost a lot

Is a 3.1 ghz dual core w/ 8gb of ram good enough? Or do you really need quad?
bigtimebop 8 months ago
@bigtimebop If you are talking about the intel i3 series, then yes. you will be fine, otherwise, it'll work but not ideal. Also 8 gigs is overkill, no need.
