More silicon valley jobs were outsourced to China by senator Boxer with her "free trade" votes.... All those DVD players, televisions, cell phones and stereos now say "made in china."

I'd love to see more jobs for India, they are the world's largest democracy, but sadly that is not the case...

Boxer and her cronies sent electronics jobs to the dictatorship in China and to places with her Islamic friends like Indonesia and Malaysia.

The chief executive of a corporation is just an employee who works for the board of directors. You have no sense of what a corporation is.

Carly didn't let anyone go, she was just an employee doing what she was told to do, she didn't own HP, and she also got the ax. It is not unusual in corporations.

.i administered a small corporation in Chicago a few year back. and within 16 months,not only i brought it back from the edge of bankruptcy, i made it grow 200%

among other things, i increased the employee's salaries, benefits; which in turn increased production and better quality came out of their hands, which in turn translated in new and longer contracts with or regular clients; we regained our former clients and new ones

You have no clue as to what a corporation is, you are a lying sack of dung. A chief executive is just an employee who dances to the tune of the board of directors. If the board says let people go, the c.e.o. does just that.

The c.e.o. is always the fall guy that the board can hide behind. Market forces hit any company like a ton of bricks and HP is no different.

Carly was indeed an employee, but after he made certain changes, HP shares lost over 60% of their value; HP recovered after she was forced to resign; you do not fire an employee that makes your Corporation bigger and richer.

she made changes; corporation lost over 50% of its value and by 2003 HP was no longer the leader;

out she goes in 05 and by 06 HP was n. 1 again

Historically, Boxer has let more money flow to Washington D.C. from California and California gets back only sixty cents on the dollar. Boxer does not represent the state of California.

I'm an engineering contractor and I'm not a native of the USA, I was born in England and I do a lot of business in California.

I would much rather hire a respectful, industrious Hindu who is never late for work, has a cultural integrity for the idea of freedom and democracy than hire some government mandated arrogant asshole or outsource to some dictatorship like China that mows its people down with tanks and kills peaceful Buddhists in Tibet.

you are free to do so, and as a contractor, you do what is best for your company;

as it is, business people hire different people for different reasons

service, contractors, constructions companies, for example, like to hire non-natives, because these people are more dedicated; furthermore, these same people go out of their way to hire illegal emigrants; many times they do it using subcontractors.

i worked many year on construction(as employee and as a contractor) and i can assure you this; as a rule, people from India and the rest of Asia Africans and south Americans are difficult to deal with; they want to pay as if they were in their native countries.
