Age can be a make or break issue. Maturity is the main reason an age gap should be minimal. I had set my younger limit to 21 and my older limit to 28. Then I made a friend who was shockingly mature at only 20. (I'll be 25 next month.) I can understand why a gap of only 4 yrs. can be huge only one person is in high school or college. Other than that however... think about what stage of life the person is in and if you or they are comfortable with possibly being widowed for a long time.
