  • Wat to do if some hair is left behind ?

  • Now for the powder do u HAVE to mix it with water or u can use it by its self raw powder?

  • I am most def going to get this, can't wait to try it out!

  • I use the powder on my face and head. And the ladies love it!!! I was trippn when I saw the spatula part in the instructions but it works. I haven't paid a barber since I started using this product. Oh most important I did reapply ONCE but never again will I make that mistake, that was a lesson learned. Great Vid!

  • what would happen if i put this on for 8 minuits washed it off and shaved normaly with shaving foam would i just get a realy close shave or would my face be iritated and end up scratching a layer of skin off

  • Thanks dude am gonna try it, by the way am light skin like you and i can see that yourt face is pretty spotless, any tip about facial cream i should use or any moisturizer?

    Thanks

  • larry fitzgerald lookin nigga lol. this the best video bout magic shave tho. good look, product works great as well..

  • can you put moisturizing cream afterwards or do you have to wait 24 hours?

  • @Kaney I would put on bump fighter moisturizing cream and never had a prob, but everyone's skin is different

  • Man no lie thank you so much for this video I felt retarded trying to do this from the directions. Anyway appreciate the video.

  • @Rusty293able No problem. Thanks!

  • Damnnnn your face looks smooth! :D Ever used the powder?

  • @tokiokoetai Yes, I used it for a while. It's way more messy (during the mixing process), but to me it's stronger. I actually liked the powder better, but the tube is way more convenient.

  • Thanks bruh, the first shot didn't go so well. I only did 6 min. I'll take your advice and try again in 24.

  • can't you just wash it off instead of using a spatula type instrument?

  • @MDkid1 Maybe, but using a spatula or a plastic card would be the best, easiest way. Using only water would leave a lot of hairs still embedded in your skin. The spatula serves to sorta uproot them (easily)...plus thats a whole lotta gunk on your face and just rinsing it off might be even more messy.

  • @winMillz I see...thanks for "clearing" that up! :)

  • How long does it take for your facial hair to grow back after using this product? is it the next day or is it a couple of days?

  • @DeathAdder83 I used it Sunday. It's now Wednesday and I have a just noticable amount of stubble.

  • OMG, I literally just got out of the shower and used this product down south....it works GREATTT !!!! (used a subway card to take the hair out)...the only downside is the strong putrid smell, but who cares it gets the job done...just make sure to shower and rinse it off well after each use...so long razor.

  • I use to use this product cos i hate shaving with a shaving stick as it gives me bumbs. But my dad told me that the after/future effects of this product is sever and causes some altercation to hair growth and skin whatever. For abt 2 weeks now i,ve been using razor but its so itchy and irritating bringing ot bumps, i just need to know for sure if the after effect is really dangerous as my dad claims cos i really love this product but am scared of its supposed future effects.

  • @10382282 I have been using magic shave over 25 years now. It has been great for me and skin thanks it every time I used it and my skin is very smooth with no permanent five o clock shadow. As for your dads opinion, on one hand he's right, but the other he's wrong cause it all depends on your skin type and how sensitive it is. It's not for every black man, but I believe for most with a few exceptions. Jeff

  • can you use it on pubic hair ?

  • @jcml4lfe I do and it works just fine. Hope you don't have sensitive skin. Jeff

  • If you are looking for a good clipper to use for your face then just use the standard gray Andis Outliner that every barbershop has. Only $50 and nothing cuts better.

  • will that stuff work on a white person like me, heard its meant for black people so i dont know what it will do to my skin. Gonna shave my bawls so i need to know ahead of time what its like.

  • lmao @ a spatula....google "palmers no blade shaver" yall niggaz is rookies LOL

  • *DL Hugely Grandma Voice: "Wrench around and wrinch it off"

  • How long till the hair starts growing back?

  • This looks interesting, I'm gonna show this to my bf. He's having problems with ingrown hairs but just complaining about it. Thanks!

  • I've been using this stuff for year...although I use the powder version. I use to shave with a razor and got those nasty bumps under my neck. This stuff..while it stinks like hell...works perfectly. I will never apply a razor face again!

  • @mrrlj2 Be careful with the powder version. A prisoner in New York was poisoned by someone while in prison and died a few hours later. Someone poured Magic Shave powder in his coffee and he was sent to the land of the dead for all time.

    Sad story indeed

  • it also says you can use a damp towel to remove hair . That workds much better for me.

  • @giguchan hahah thank you :)

  • @giguchan well i actually used the powder form of magic shave down there and it worked perfectly lol :)

  • @giguchan lol i actually tried it 2 days ago...it worked pretty well :). loll

  • Thanks man u are a life saver...

  • can i use this for my pubes? i rly want to know...

  • Thanks for the good video.

  • will magic shave remove hair that is covered by a thin layer of hair?

  • As far as help with razor bumps, Magic Shave can only go so far. The most effective way that I have found to combat razor bumps after using Magic Shave is Sea Breeze astringent. Nothing comes close. Once in the morning and once at night and bad razor bumps will be gone in 2-3 days. It'll sting after shaving but no pain no gain. Enjoy!

  • I used magic shave on my anal hairs and it is still dry and chapped

  • @bitcheznhos cool.

  • @crosschain95 Actually it is burning hot

  • @bitcheznhos Nice kid.

  • @bitcheznhos

    lmao

  • I've had a problem with basically having a five o'clock shadow right after shaving, and I've been thinking about the magic shave. I noticed that there are a few different types, so do you have one that you recommend?

  • I just to buy the magic shave,I never know it does exist before, too happy, it's over cutten skin ect....

drocodrama, your phrase is so clever!!!(sarcasm)

  • I've been using the cream for years. My father used the powder since the 80s. I have noticed the formula has change. The cream no longer burns the face and has shea butter in it now.

  • @bruin03 hey any affects using this product long-term...i jus bought one and it worked pretty good...since ur dad been using so long does it affect his skin in any way or your skin

  • I've been using the cream for years. My father used the powder since the 80s. I have noticed the formula has change. The cream nolonger burns the face and has shea butter in it now.

  • he is nice looking!!!

  • finally my rasor bump nightmares are over!!i used this for the first time tonight and this stuff works!!!only remark is that this thing aint easy to mix (like water and oil) and left my skin feeling really dehydrated;nothing a lil lotion couldnt fix.

I recommend this to all black men suffering from rasor bumps!

  • Ur Gay!

  • Great Vid .. I've used it since I was 14 ... Now 41 .... Only put a razor to my face once in my life ... This stuff is awesome !!! I use the power in gold container ... Less odorous and less chance of burning the skin.... and I use a box cutter as the patula as it pulls the hair under the skin but its not as sharp as a razor to it does not encourage future hair growth ... Hope this helps others .. again great vid.

  • I put on a LOT. I let it sit for around 12 minutes. I used a spatula to take the cream off and then wiped it all off with warm water. It doesn't seem to get as close as a razor. I can still feel the stubs. Also, it missed a lot of hairs. I will give it another try. I will either use more, or let it sit for a longer period of time. I didn't have much hair at all either. I shaved a few days ago so it should have had no problem taking this all off

  • Yo, I picked some up for $3.99 at a Sally's Beauty Supply. I have some on my face as I type. I hope it works. I also hope the hair stays away for more than 1 or 2 days. We'll see.

    Thanks for the vid.

  • WinMillz I tried the powered version back in 89 or 90. It tore my face up. Now its 2010, I tried the cream version put it on and left it on for 10 min. Tried to scrape it off with the edge of the magic shave tube. I took of grits of hair. Tried to take the rest off with the spatula. Took off the same thing only little specs. Wiped off the rest of the cream with a warm rag. Made me look like I never shaved. i jusr rinsed it off and shaved the rest. No break out or anything.Guess not 4 me

  • I used this stuff (m.s.) It works good after I appy "bump fighter 2" & "cocoa butter" lotion. I just recently baught the m.s. gold powder form in a can, haven't tried it yet but heard it works good too...my uncle uses a razor but he don't get no razor bumps ?! Its weird..he da one told me to use bump fighter 2 and cocoa butter lotion...but he also uses alcohol too after shaving...he has no bumps on his face n he 40 years old...

  • im pretty sure your suposed to use cool water and it says not to use soap whatsoever !

  • @TheLynsie im pretty sure I said that in the video.

  • can i use this on pubic hair?

  • Its amazing the vids you run across when your not lookin. Magic shave has been around for generations, my grandfather used it. Its one of the coolest thing for black people cause our skin is more prone to razor bumps.

  • they sell it in cans too

  • I am too lazy to watch the whole vid, but to me it looks like face Nair....

  • Make a vid when u line ur hair up :D

  • i get razor bumps really bad under my neck so im gonna try this but what if you have like a chinstrap beard and you want to keep it do i just go around it?

  • magic shave does not work on stubble!

  • I use a towel to wipe off as I m taking a shower

  • I use Magic Cream Shave all the time for my head. I never use it on my face, it makes it break out. You can use a knife, but be very gentle.

  • Man... I put that shit on my face and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It dried up so I pat my face with wet hands to moisten the powder again. Then I used a butter knife as instructed by a family member, and I removed the stuff from my face. I don't know if I scrapped too hard or what but my face is candy apple red now. I called the company and they are mailing me a refund but I think next time I will try using rubber opposed to metal butter knife.

  • larry fitgerald lol

  • oh yeah I'm going to use this stuff

I get razor bumps very bad and I'm getting ready to join the marines

so this is much help for me

  • @TheSeven45 Yeah man....I started using this stuff 2 days ago and all of my razor bumps are gone. I cant believe it....... Its like a freakin miracle. I dont see how I hadnt heard of this stuff before, cuz its a true life saver.

  • Seeexxxyyyy

  • uiiu

  • sdfsdfs

  • good tutorial, thanks for the info. I seen it in Sally's the other day and my only concern about buying it was the fear of my hair not growing back because of the chemicals that are in it. But I haven't heard anyone complaining about that so I guess there isnt much to worry about. but thanks for the video.

  • i just bought this and i think i didnt put enough water in the powder or something because my face burns like hell!! and then it had the nerve to dry on my face... i can say it removed the hairs.. but uh uh it was awful!!

  • where did u purchase this??

  • great video man

  • I get HORRIBLE razor burn. I am very pale (as proof in my videos lol) and it looks disgusting. I even break out sometimes because of shaving irritation. I have searched for years trying to find something that would work. I am going to try this out. Thank you so very much.

I hope to throw away my razors and expensive post shave products. lol.

  • Mean mug closeups at the end were killer.

  • awesome dreads man

  • were did you buy it?

  • can you use the bottle itself as a scraper

  • it seems like you could. It prob be easier with a credit card or icing spatula tho.

  • @winMillz

wow, credit card! that's a brilliant idea! never thought of that hahaha.. thanks!

  • @Homeboy2k7 plastic spoon it works

  • Would it work for female private????

  • [5:10]=hilarious

  • good tut bro but can i apply any type of after shave after im done using magic ? and the day after i used magic can i wash my face with soap ?

  • yeah you can...doesnt matter. all you should remember is that you need to mix the powder really thick and with warm (or hot) water. then apply on your skin. leave on for about 4-6 minutes, then wipe off smooth. Use Neutrogena soap.... so you skin doesnt dry out. tey that Gillette after shave after that also.

  • thanx for the insight

  • It says that you shouldnt, but I do. I wash my face with coco butter soap (or Dial sometimes) afterwards and I use Bump Fighter aftershave. I may try the Neutrogena like fufu125 mentioned. I just just said not to in the vid bc hadnt been using it for long at the time and didnt want to be giving bad advice. I use soap all the time now.

  • @fufu125 & @winMillz thx u both

  • thanx 4 the help on thiss matter

  • i recently used magic shaving powder in my face and neck in an attempt to prevent ingrown hair that started to appear on my neck. Unfortunately it made my neck worst....it help with my face but not my neck. im scared to try this product

  • try it on a small area of the face 1st.... you gotta get use to what works best for you. try it again, this time just a small area. then the next day try another area. remember to mix it THICK and use HOT water. try the Gold can...Wal Mart ($2.00)

  • My Brothers:

try Neutrogena's gold liquid or Bar soap after you magic shave your face. or Noxzema cream. either of the 2 will be good

if you can get your hands on a can of CROWN ROYAL shave powder, that works even better than Magic Shave.

Walgreens was the only place that I know that use to sell it, but they discontinued sales.

I been magic shaving since 1993...I am in the Military,..... 37 years old and I have a true babyface due to Magic shave

  • good tutorial video!

  • when you put the cream on do you start the 10minuteswhen you first start to put it on or do you wait 10mintues after you finish the whole beard

  • I would wait until i finish the whole beard to start the count down. I may not take that long with everyones hair tho so you may have experiment...right now, i've switched over to using the powered form that you mix. it seems stronger. I only leave it on for about 7 or so minutes.

  • Hey is this easy to maneuver around, because I want to keep a little chin beard but get rid of everything else.

  • it should be if you work with it a little. You'll probably have to use clippers to shape it up though.

  • ur so cute =) lol

  • thank you sweetie ; )

  • a bra are you still using the magic shave I hear it can darken your skin over a period of time

  • i tend to switch between clippers and the magic shave, but I've been using it for about 10 months and havent noticed any darkening.

  • no...thats false

  • Feel ya dido for me on the skin & beard. There are some great videos on here for using a razor, which is less time consuming, and prevents or lessens the severity of bumps. I should post some of my techniques on here.

  • hey I used this product a few times, but it just doesn't work on my hair. I have really thick coarse hair (especially around the mustache area) and for some reason it doesn't remove hair from their only. It works great on my cheeks but for my mustache and chin area it doesn't work. Do you or anybody have any suggestions?

  • this is only a suggestion, but maybe you could use clippers to cut some of the hair in the problem areas down, then use the magic shave.

  • @Kmamin27

u have to make sure that you mix it THICK....like Toothpaste. if it isnt that thick, then it isnt mixed correctly. you can use any colored can (gold, silver or the stinky red or blue cans).... Wal Mart sells it for <$2 a can. thats the best buy. then leave it on for 5 minutes. use the whole can at a time. then wipe it clean off with a CREDIT CARD. try it bro. I been using this method for 18 years now. I'm 37 years old and I have a "babyface" still

  • also...Use HOT WATER when mixing...not Boiling, just hot

  • Thanks for the video winMillz. I have been using this for about two years. It works great!

    Thanks for spreading your knowledge.

    People will appreciate it!!!

  • I would always get razor bumps after shaving with my razor blade, so I stopped.

Then I had my barber cut my face after my hair, and would still end up getting razor bumps.

I tried out a few other ones like this and they never worked right. Some were to strong and would burn before cutting the hair, and others would not cut the hair at all.

This has been the the best cream shave product that I have ever scene. no burns ,always cuts the hair, and keeps the face smooth feeling.

  • Winmillz, I'm back my dude...this stuff works like wonders...I'm going to do a tutorial myself once I get a camera. One thing for me is that I "shave" down on cheeks and jawline, and "shave" up on the neck. Otherwise the edges of my neck will still get bumps.

  • I just left wal-mart. lol I saw ya post and you made me go get some and I also got a spatchla for a dollar too.....lol....Imma hop in the shower use it and come back and tell you how it worked for me.

  • So I just got out of the shower frm trying it and I gotta give it an A- grade. It worked great on my face and has it baby smooth. on the center of my neck there still was a little hair left and that could have been from not using it long enough or not using enough. I also washed my face with my bar of Shae Butter Soap when I was done. We all know that Shea Butter works wonders for African-American Skin. I however do like the product.

  • @nickelwindow53

glad it worked for you. I also use the shae butter.

  • man i dont have no razor bumps no more ! hell yeah ama free man for show !!

  • is it recomended for black guys and white guys? cuz diffrent people have diffrent hair growths.

  • @PLATINUMMAXIMUM09

it's mainly for black men bc our hair is coarse and when the skin is irritated with a razor, the hair grows back into the follicle causing a bump...i would say that if you have problems with razor bump you should try it out. If you dont get razor bumps, your current meathod of shaving should be ok.

  • Don't mean to spam, but my last postings disappeared.

    TO REMOVE MAGIC SHAVE:

Take any plastic knife and cut the teeth off of it with a pocket knife or sharp kitchen knife. Then use the sharp knife to sharpen and smooth out the blade of the plastic knife. The "modified plasitc knife" works great to remove the Magic Shave and hairs (instead of using a big ol' kitchen spatula)! This whole process only takes a minute, and your new shaver is cheap, you can dispose of it, or reuse it.

  • or.... easier than that...just use a credit card ...smooth surface cleans your facial skin real good

  • and...for your REAL EXTREME Brothers.... grab a regular CD. that precise egde of a CD will also do the trick...downward motion...dont scrape too hard

  • Nice tutorial. I might try this out. Does anyone know if this works on chest/armpit hair as well?

  • Thanks. I wouldnt use it for the chest or armpit...for the chest you could try Nair For Men, but no depilitory that i know of is recommended for underarms.

  • OK, thank you. I got Magic Shave yesterday after seeing your video and a few others. Thanks for making this and I hope it becomes a good product for me as well. I did a test spot last night like the tube says and I haven't broken out so I will try my face today.

  • i disagree...try it. I havent had any problems on chest or armpits...been using it almost 18 years

  • Comment removed

  • thanks.Thats a great idea

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • Hey i used this product.. does it help with ingrown hair?

  • If you already have razor bumps, try to first remove the ingrown hairs with some tweezers.

  • @winMillz Great advice! This is key! "ultra sharp" tweezers work best.

  • My barber used a razor on my face last week and bumped up like a mofo!

I usually use clippers on my face.

My beard is starting to grow back and the itching/bumps are killing me.

How is it when your beard begins to grow back with the magic shave? Any itching/bumps or irritation?

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. A guy used a razor on me a long time ago and it itched and felt sensitive as the hair was coming back. When used as directed the magic shave is supposed to stop all that. I hadnt noticed any itching or anything as the hair comes back.

  • Comment removed

  • ok ok last question for ya, do you know when can we put lotion on for after use the MS

    thanks again E

  • i usually use a product called Bump Fighter. Google it and you will be able to see what the package looks like. Ive been using the Bump fighter for years so i just keep using it...the MS says not to use any achohol containing products afterwards e.g. Bump Fighter, but i do and it hasn't caused any probs...lotion should be ok. I usually give it about 10 mins then apply lotion or the BF. Thats just what I do. Of course, If you notice any irritation, stop...oh yeah, usually use coco butter lotion.

  • what about if i shave with the clippers and use the magic cream to erase the hair left from the clippers

  • I've thought about doing that, but I haven't yet. I dont think it would be a problem as long as you wait long enough. Like, a few hours. not immediately afterwards.

  • Very nice Vid, i'm afraid to try it cause what if i get ingrown hairs, and how often do you use the product,

    thanks for listening, E

  • I usually use it everytime i shave about once a week or so. I recently found a new set of clippers like the ones in the vid so I'll probably be alternating ever so often...if you dont get ingown hairs already, it may be best that you stick with your current method of shaving. But the magic shave shouldn't cause problems if your skin is not too sensitive and if you dont leave it on too long. Thanks for watching!

  • hey yo thanks again so much for the info, i think ill just try it out on my head first, should i let my hair grow out some first, or is it ok now, i probably have a cm of hair now, sorry for asking you so much about the product you seem to know whats up, and what lotion do you use afterwards

  • you're str8, ask all you want, but I'm no pro lol. I'm just going off my personal experiences....i think they make a different kind for head hair. I think its magic shave "smooth"...its in a brown and white tube.

  • Is this NFL's wide reiciever Larry Fitzgerald?!?!?

  • does it stink

cause i heard it smells bad

  • I know first hand that the kind in the vid and the powdered kind in the gold can dont smell that bad. There are a few other versions that I dont know about tho.

  • Thank you, it helped a lot.

  • Nice video!!!

  • winMillz u myfriend has expalined this problem with use Blackmen with ease, has a Blackman (I from London) I was very skeptical, & have 10 minutes ago, used it, magic Blue powder, I couldn't believe it, perfection, thank you, hopefully when i wake for work tomorrow moring my face will be intact.........lol thank you again... 100% tut.

  • This Was A Great Tutorial :)

  • sorry, the question came out wrong, let me refrase it. I kinda know how ingrown hair accur and it's basically the way you described it. What I meant to ask was how does the magic shave prevent ingrowing hair to come about? If it now does so?

A couple of days ago I was in contact with softsheen through e mail, haven't heard from them yet.

I just want to say thanks to you for taking time and giving response and tips to me, I really appreciate it!

  • forgot to say I have ingrowing hair, although it might be pretty obvious judging from one of the questions ; )

  • I honestly dont know if its availible outside the US. It doesnt really even get much advertising here in the states, so I really cant say...If you happen to find some, i recommend the powdered form. since you have ingrown hairs, what i would do is use tweezers to remove them and then try the magic shave...i dont know how fast you'll get a response, but maybe you could try to contact SoftSheen Carson thru their site to see if they ship out of the country. Good luck! Thanks for viewing!

  • Can't speak for anywhere else, but its been available here in Jamaica for years.

  • hi

I live in sweden (originally from Ethiopia), and i was just wondering a couple of things about this product. what happens when the hair grows back? what's keeping the hair from not grow into the skin like it usually does?

And for my last question I was wondering If you can get this product outside the U.S.? I've wisited the magic shave site, and I doesn't seem that it's possible.

    ty beforehand !

  • Hello thanks for watching...I'm no dermatologist, but i think I can explain it a little. When a razor grazes across your face it irritates the skin and causes it to become inflammed. My theory is that this swelling causes the hair to be trapped under the skin. The hair tries to grow back, but since its trapped it turns into a bump. With this stuff, in most cases there is no swelling or irritation so the hair is free to grow and not trapped, therefore fewer razor bumps.

  • @beebah90 The razors are what start the ingrown hairs because razors cut the skin and the hair can't get out when the skin starts to grow.

Because this product doesn't cut the skin, ingrown hairs become rare.

  • yeah man I been using this for about 3 years now since i was in the police academy.. I use the one in the gold can and it works wonder ...but if you google it , there is a plastic straight non razor that is used with this...

  • do they make you shave everyday in the academy

  • Thanks. I was unable to get the results I wanted from this product but your video has helped me to realize that I was not putting enough of the cream on my face. Thanks again.

  • Yeah i try to put enough on tho where I know it'll come off the first time, but now I've switched over to the powered form. Maybe you can try that one. It's a lil more messy, but it seems to be more powerful...plus since you mix it yourself, you should be able to make it as string as you need it to be.

  • Ok. I'm gonna go out today and grab some of the power form. I appreciate the feedback!

  • I may have to look into it. these razor bumps are whoopin my ass lol.

  • hey these is a good video man also you have nice clear smooth skin.. i was wondering what products do you use to wash your face and do you moisturize?

  • I really dont do too much special to my face. Usually if I shave with clippers I always put on this aftershave like goop called Bump Fighter. I've been using it for years and i guess it works bc I havent had any bumps while using it...occasionally, I put on some blackhead scrub stuff, but not too often. For moisture, you could use cocobutter and cocobutter soap. Most of the time I just use good ol Dial though.

  • oh so you wash your face with Dial soap?? ima definetly have to cop me 1 of them

  • is that larry fitzgerald

  • aww man. i've heard that pleny times

  • yeah man i was just bs'n ya, thanks for the video.

  • Yo, I heard this stuff wasnt good for you... lemme know. I'm gettin ingrowns like crazy

  • i dont know. I just know that it gets the hair off your face easily. I've only been using it about 6 months, but so far I havent noticed any problems...and if you're getting ingrowns, I'd say it's worth trying out at least. Its less than $3 for a tube. I mean, some peoples skin may react differently than others, but i think my friend said that he has sensitive skin and it doesnt bother him. Just try it on a small area on your face and see if it works.
