  • i don't see how you wire the bulb?????

  • can i use npn 2n3904?....and what size cap?....thanks man..

  • hi can you use the transformer from a old cfl to make this. also why haven't you used the second transistor this time cheers

  • @MrDdogg42 This circuit was engineered by Kodak and /or Fuji. It can only have one transistor.

  • what transistor and capacitor can i use???????please answer

  • Is there any way to make this without the center tap transformer?

  • i went ahead and put one of these of my own together. that little thing was putting out just over 1000V!!! like "WOE!!" too bad i had it sitting on a spiral note book and it arced out to the spring. after that it only put out 35V. oh well. it was still fun to do, and hay i learned something. do not place random metal pieces next to you HV project.

  • @iamzid Really? What resistor, capacitor and battery did you use to get it this high? Did you make your own custom transformer?

  • @ImmortalAcorn i just followed the instructions to the letter, i think.... the camera i used must have had higher ratings or some thing. or i just did it wrong and the voltage was running errant, i don't know. i doubt that it was pushing to many amps. but i did not have time to test it before i destroyed it... :( the transformer was about the size of a green pea so its not surprising that it fried.

  • Thanks very much for your great work.

Have made this circuit, sorry to say it only flashes, can you say where I’ve made a Boo Boo please ?

  • what if i do not use a 20 ohm resistor? it was not listed in ur initial set up at the beginning of the video.

  • @shinobi1014 The circuit will not work w/o the resistor which BTW is 220 ohm not 20 ohm.

  • @chilliqueen2007 i know... typo

  • @chilliqueen2007 ive tried it with a 220 ohm and it didnt seem to work... Red-Red-Brown-Gold correct? thats 2-2-multiplier 10- tolerance +-5% no? cant seem to get it working. any tips? i get my parts out of a disposable camera but the resistor was from a TV.

  • @shinobi1014 , The problem is not the resistor. It is the mini-transformer. Every manuf. has its own winding configuration. Are you using a 4pin or 5pin transformer?

  • @chilliqueen2007 im not so sure the problem is my transformer. 4 or 5? that is an odd question. almost as if you suggest i can not tell the difference between 4 and 5... im using the same camera board as in the video. its a 5 pin. i wired it exactly like the video. i have over 30 something cameras i got from a photo shop (free) so i have plenty of parts but most of them are 4, 6 and 7 pin. i managed to find only 3 5 pin and so far, desoldering em, i broke them.

  • @shinobi1014 im down to one left

  • @shinobi1014 The reason I asked U 4 or 5pin is that all the transformers comes in 4pin or 5pin config. Anything more than 5pins are the anchoring points on the board and R not part of the circuit. U might want to try the 4pin transformer which is actually easier and not prone to error. It uses the chilliqueen 2 transistor circuit. If UR interested I will provide you the instructions.

  • @chilliqueen2007 sure i would appreciate any help you graciously offer. btw i have been desoldering parts and storing em in film canisters so i can have my own surplus to make lil gagets. i really dun wanna keep using the big bulky boards in my charger projects. maybe u can help me. once i get the mini charger, how would i step up the 400v+ to about 900? and i mean without the use of a flyback.

  • What if I use the larger capacitor instead?

  • @TechnomancerMorhion This circuit will not work with an electrolytic. You can use a mylar cap but you will need two diodes between the cap.

  • Great video!!!

  • This is very clear. Great job. Thank you.

  • wow! simple... going to give this a try, thanks mate

  • Great !! 5 stars. Thanks for sharing. Tec
