  • @Gamerdude3694, this was before the very first iPhone was publicly released, before the app store came out. Back then, you had to jailbreak to get anything other than the programs you see in this video on your iPhone. Now, there's over 65,000 apps (most of which are games) you can get without jailbreaking.

  • After looking at lots of videos about iPhone, I came to a conclusion that they are completely useless whitout the internet, which is the case in my country, because GPRS is mad expensive.

  • They said it is slow when it is away from Wifi hotspots. Thats not true though. When I had mine I went to Busch Gardens in the tunnels where usually you have no service when you want to look at the animals and bats and I took a picture of them and sent them over e-mail to my friends in New York. It was fine!

  • i tried it twice at the ATT store (on Edge). i checked out the new york times web site and it came up slow. i tried to click around a bit and it was so slow i got pretty annoyed. and then, youtube just spun away as i waited and waited and waited. slower than slow! i found it intolerable so i didn't get one.

  • The 2nd generation iPhone will be released by the end of the year (I heard about it last weekend in at the Apple 5th Ave. store (NYC)).

    Personally, I am not thrilled about it - I'd rather use my Mac for my emails and such.

    No security - if you lost your phone, a stranger merely slides the phone unlocked and makes calls on your dime.

  • actually you can put a password on the phone instead of just the slide bar; and you can still dial emergency numbers while un password mode.

  • This is "old" tech that has been out for years. Known already as Pocket PC Windows Mobile. My Dell Axim I got last year can do all that, Toshiba has one with text to speech, ViewSonic has a V38 series that is tough and can bounce if dropped. MP3, Video, text, cell phone, internet, and more has already been out for years already. Apple did not invent anything new at all people. NOT NEW STUFF PEOPLE! JUST HYPE!
