@GabZx16 I did actually and had a great time. Hotel Silvia Apartments room 12 was fantastic for views of the mountain :) Peles Castle was lovely and I had an Armadine in the cafe. I only went to cota 1400 in the tele cabinere but there were so many naturally beautiful women there I did not want to come home :(

But I'm too old for that and for me the only interesting things to do is to go to the parks here and hang out with family and friends. Lucky I'm a chilled kinda person or I would never survive! LOL Romania is not as geared up for tourists as my home city, Cape Town (South Africa)...lots more to do there!

It was in Florida back in 2009 and I think it was the atmosphere that made it a good night. Instead of singing on a stage, he sang on the same level as us and danced with us. I ended up dancing with a kid and the violinist played for us too...it was a different kind of fun :-) Unlike many, I am culturally diverse. I think it's cos of where I'm from

@SarpeDaniel I am from South Africa...I lived and worked in America but I live in Romania now. Long story but a good one :) Manele is a kind of music that you get here. Look up artists like Florin Salam, Adrian Minune, Copilul de Aur, Laura Vass and even kids like Babi Minune. A lot of Romanians like this kind of music but they won't admit it because it's associated to the "gypsy" population. But I knew a guy who said he HATED manele and, after a few drinks, he was dancing to it ALL NIGHT!

@SarpeDaniel Their music sounds good on music videos and recordings BUT they can't REALLY sing. I was very disappointed to see that every time the artists here perform live, they MIME :-( Not that I'm a HUGE manele fan...but Manele singers have more REAL talent than these singers who try to sing in English when they don't even understand the language. They put on a fake American accent when they sing too...very sad. There are old singers here who sing in Romanian....MUCH better. MY opinion.

@ZglavociDePitesti LOL I'm not even Romanian hahaha! I have seen manele performers live...I was standing right in front of them. I saw them because I went with some friends to see a show, that's all. And all I was saying is that a REAL singer can sing live and sound perfect...like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Michael Buble...REAL singers. I have seen on ProTV and Kanal D how they "sing" and you can see they are miming the words. I also said that I prefer when people sing in their OWN language.
