The point of a MV is to promote and generate record sales. Which means they made money off of it. Now, if it wasn't intended to generate sales, then you could argue it fan-made or a tribute - but that's not the case here. And copying properties or trademarked likenesses for non-profit is illegal without permission (remember the fan-made 3D Chrono Trigger tribute game Square also had shut down?).

I wonder if Tetsuya Nomura is pissed about this?
