When I get my movie production degree in 1 year my first movie will be the battle of the giants. It will be about all the big monsters together in one movie. Godzilla, king Kong, incredible hulk, big foot, and chuck Norris
can you use a real police department in your film and have actors act as real police for that police department or would you need a permit first? same for a public high school, can you use a real public high school and display their logo and have actors act as students or would you need a permit?
You actually happen to be rather beautiful, thanks a lot for your video playback. it happens to be depressing i live in Lime Ridge simply because i cannot get hold of great make-up, however i find totally free cosmetic samples from "GratismakeupSamples". i really like Estee Lauder make-up!
You do not need 20-200,000 dollars to make a movie if you already have your equipment. I'm shooting a movie this summer with people from my local town and all locations are booked and used free. Everyone works for free. The only thing I'm spending money on is food, and a few extra film products. I'd say we plan on using no more than $3000 for this film. We're using 4 CANON 7D's with full rigs!
Well first off it sounds like you are telling people to rent equipment. If you are serious about making a movie don't ever rent. And since you are starting out. No need for top of the line. Simply search around to buy used equipment. For starters find a old super 8mm camera. As well as you mentioned food. Low budget films rarely provide food to cast members. Planning is essential I agree. Though if you ever filmed, nothing ever goes as planned.
I completely disagree. People who are serious about making films aren't going to buy their own equipment. If you can get funding, and you are making a high budget film, the good equipment isn't even usually for sale. Panavision does not sell equipment, they just rent (and I think they are "pretty popular" lol). I am 15 years old, and I am producing a feature length, student made film, and it doesn't matter what kind of film you are making, you should ALWAYS feed the actors.
20k for your lowest quote on your first film? Sorry to say most likely this overhead will be in the range of $500 to maybe 3k. Own your own equipment. Hire actors/actresses from the local college & newspaper. Stick to more basic films to start with. Ones that will require less prop work and effects. Might be boring from what you really wish to do. Though these basic ones if done well. Can put your foot in the door to other leads. Such as companies, other actors, etc etc. From there move up and gl

you gotta feed your crew,dude.
Mom makes sandwiches, trip to Subway McD's or something.
If you are not making one feature after another,
then renting the cam or lights makes a little sense.
