This is also very close to Norwegian "joik" - native singing from the ppl up north. it´s probably based on those musical principals, but of course in free creativity. Creativity.. great word to describe this band. The break at 4:17 is sooo effective!

@jezkn, it's Ann-Mari Edvardsen, the album is "Painting on Glass"

Doom metal is slower and darker classic metal (bands like Candlemass, Black sabbath, Witchfinder General and Cathedral), in the nineties it was used to define some gothic metal bands too.

Basically is slow metal.

The only one I''ve heard of is Black Sabbath cos I had their first album back in 1970 before name Metal had been invented I think (it was known as 'Downer' Rock or 'Hard Rock') What's 'Death Metal' then? In what year did Kari leave 3rd & Mortal and when did Anne Mari join? Kari has gone solo - What is Anne Mari doing now? She can sing so high as at 4.00. I like the dark, heavy 'wall of sound' with that beautiful, soaring, high female voice!!
