  • this song was on the top of the list in the day i was born! hell yeah! =D

  • Who the fuck is Professor Green? The only people that need to be associated with this song are Norman Cook, Paul Simonon and the other members of the Clash.

  • oh, and deborah cox i guess lol

  • @arglistfuchs Not just Cook & The Clash... the SOS Band and singer Lindy Layton...

It was their song "Just Be Good To Me" N. Cook cleverly changed to a female point of view (it's "I don't care about your other boys" originally) got ex Grange Hill actress Lindy Layton to sing, and mashed with the Clash's bass line.

  • @mohammedLfire true

  • @mohammedLfire

    YEAH MAN!

    spot on!!

  • @mohammedLfire

That's the trouble with the current teen & 20 something generation.. Little to no patience, expect everything on a plate. All creativity & imagination delegated to Xboxes & PS3s.

Little respect, little manners, no courtesies, no originality. Glued to the internet & their Iphones, lazy speech 'whatever, bovered, innit, everything's 'like'... sick, phat (Fucking BOLLOCKS)

I'm generalising of course, but FUCK ME the youth today are Crap!

  • @xoio Generalising is fine, when the average teen is exactly as you say. I should know, i unfortunately am part of this new generation! ooh dear... its grim! Most of my mates were born in 60-80s when people seemed to be more on the level <3

We are, along with most of the western world, conditioned to being dumbed down, lazy apathetic people. This is what the government want

spread the word of peace and love!!!

  • @RaabeanRabble Well said!

  • @xoio Well said i'm not feeling them at all! Oh and add another word to your list CRAZY! Everything is "crazy" in the U. S. Find another word already!....Mind blowing!

  • Also a Morricone 'once upon a time in the west' sample

  • por fin encontré esta canción!

  • best version ever

  • sample of THE CLASH

  • Really does not need the rapping bit-what does it add?

  • @aniemiddx it adds moisture....and also more slippery version....its like ridding a wet sleigh

  • Yuk! The original is so much better

  • so much better than professor greens but hats off to him for bringing the song back

  • so much better than professor greens but hats off to him for bringing the song back

  • like the ting tings version <3

  • Bass line stolen from The Clash.

  • @gooflafarge Sampling is different from stealing, haha.

  • "Just Be Good to Me" is a 1983 single by The SOS Band written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

  • the original was by the sos band in 1983 this is probably better than its original in my view!

  • this is the original radio edit that ever station played back in the day

  • @manky747 i don't think this is the original

  • @manky747 Yes this is the original version.

  • @rrfc271194 as mrmojorisin291278 says, the original was by the sos band in 1983

  • @rrfc271194 The original was in 1983 by The SOS band

  • @rosemarymclaughlin Ah right. My mistake then. As far as i was aware Beats International was the original.

1983, i wouldn't have known that as i was only 9 at the time.

  • @rrfc271194 Hya..What a great song tho' to be covered so many times and in so many different ways and all sound great!...the writers then went on to write/produce hundreds of songs for and with Quincy Jones Janet Jackson, Michael, Mariah Carey....loads of others. They were the timbaland and ryan tedder of the 80's

  • @rosemarymclaughlin Yeah it is a great song and Beats International's version is the best.

  • to be fair, the version on xfactor tonight sucked dick
