  • has the Bearded dragon Red Eyes ? looks a bit Scary o.o

  • @Blackclaw1000 His eyes are red/brown.

  • @cheshirecat14 ok thats cool my bearded dragon has amber colored eyes when the light shines in ^^

  • Too cute.

  • how much crickets a day do u feed?

  • @eliacraft I don't feed many crickets to him anymore (he eats more salad and vegetables than insects) but when I do, I feed him until he stops eating them. Usually around 15 crickets fills him up.

  • Yur lucy mine won't do that even if he was starving

  • could someone answer please, can you feed a bearded dragon an occasional ragworm?

  • @thethreelions3 I wouldn't just to be safe.

  • Cool wach my vids and comment rate sub!

  • @Reptokid01 if you watch my videos :P

  • But, the tiny fibers from the carpet can become entalngled around the toe. It will work its way through the scales and block the blood flow in the toe, which causes the nail to fall off.

  • @natureforever12 putting it in a more detailed way: the tiny fibers from the carpet can become entangled around the nail of your pogona vitticeps then working its way under the scales of your beardies toe after a period of time blocking the blood flow to your pogona vitticeps toe causing the toe to shrivel up and then fall off. so you are right natureforever12. i just put it in a more detailed way. thats why you never want to put your bearded dragon on the carpet. and also the fibers are

  • @natureforever12 invisible when they get under your pogona vitticeps toe so you can't see them.

  • @natureforever12 well they are invisible when they get under you bearded dragons scales of their toe and also the fibers of the carpet are pretty much invisble when they get entangled around the nail of your bearded dragon.

  • @natureforever12 i meant to say your. not you. in my last comment

  • One thing, do not put you beardy on the carpet. It can hurt their nails.

  • @natureforever12 How..? Only thing I can think of is a nail snag but that rarely happens and when it does, his nail quickly becomes unstuck.

  • hello im getting a beardie next month are they playful and do they like to be handled and do they bite much people say they are great pets but just want to make sure btw any accesories i should get for my little guy?

  • @OMGITJJ Any animal can bite. They're not likely to but don't expect never to get bitten. If you read and research some bearded dragon care guides, you'll find out all the accessories you need for a beardie.

  • dude i wuz thinking of getting one of these but do they run away if you let them out and do they bite?

and hown long do they live

  • CHECK OUT MY GOLIATH FROG AND MY BEARDED DRAGON

  • I just got my bearded dragon, he/she is about 6 month but everytime I get close to him he just grow his bearded so should I stay with him a little wild so he could get use to me or take him for at lease 1 hour or...What should i do?

  • I'm always scared of touching the cricket because i've never held insects like that, do they pinch or bite or anything?

  • @epiclaracroft I've never felt them pinch or bite but they might be able to. I hold them by their back legs or wings usually.

  • Awww he's just like mine, won't chase his food, have to put right infront of him lol. Does your eat veg? My'n won't :/ He'll have strawberries and red grapes and that about it for his veg lol.

  • @dragonflyer11 Both of my dragons eat their greens and veggies.

  • Beautiful dragon! I am a big fan of these and have one myself. They are great pets, almost like dogs. HAHA Looks like you take great care of yours. What is your regular feeding schedule for him? He looks great. :)

  • @mmicham1 I have two and they get fed every 2-3 days. They get endive, escarole, collards, dandelion (especially in the summer), squash, green beans, celery (for water intake), mango, papaya, berries, superworms, crickets, snails, grasshoppers, earthworms and the occasional pinkie mouse.

  • Beautiful >< but I can't avoid... I'm feeling bad for the cricket u.u

  • Okaynthanks.

  • I'm getting a bearded dragon this Christmas and I can't wait to get him/her, does it hurt the cricket when you feed them to the dragon with tweezers?

  • @Cowpat619 It's commonly thought that crickets and other insects cannot feel pain like a mammal does. They're usually dead as soon as they get chomped once by a beardie so their death is quick.

  • 2:06....epitome of laziness; expects you to chew and digest it for him

  • He feeds just like my beardie but ive never been bitten, he is extremley careful when he feeds from my hand

  • Ooooooooooooo yummy that's ply something I would eat on a daily bases lol

  • do you live australia?

  • @2000slamdunk No. Canada.

  • Oh god I feel sorry for the crickets :(

  • @GTheBlackElk Circle of life.

  • @cheshirecat14 Well, not exactly. I personally thought that the "circle of life" meant that they died naturally or in a fair way. This isn't fair because in the wild the crickets would have a fair chance of getting away, when here somebody just picks them up (disabling the cricket to run away and hide.)

  • @Fewey12345 Yes, it's sad for the crickets but the dragon needs to eat and wild crickets don't typically wander into his enclosure to die in a "fair way".

  • @Fewey12345 These crickets would not have been bred at all if they weren't needed as food. At least they get to live for a while. I don't like to feed my beardy live foods either but he has to have them to live.

  • @polisci0586 Yeah, of course I would get all ticked like this if they were feeding bearded dragons to monitor lizards or something! Everything needs to eat something else to live.. For me, it's worse when people buy rodents like mice and rats from pet stores when they could have been somebody's pet. Breeding them would be better..

  • @cheshirecat14 Easy for you to say cuz ure at the top of it xD

  • lol spoiled bitch. i like how you put it on his lips and he dosent eat it, then if it runs away, he wont make an attempt unless you pick it back up and put it next to his. hes like "i aint workin for my food, my human's are my bitches" lol. i want one so bad.

  • Thumbs up if you laughed when she tried to pet his hand lol

  • hahahaha the musiks. i love my baby beaarded dragon. i cant wait till he gets bigger. his name is Magnetos i just got him and i already love him to death. hes tiny right now.

  • i have to hand feed one of my dragons coz hes blind and cant see the crickets properly so i hand feed him with clean tweezer to prevent being bitten coz Apollo has bitten me twice and hurts so much

  • Ha ha! Hes to cool! I used to have two huge tanks. Each had a male and two females. We eventually bread then as the females kept laying eggs. Im guessing he/she is an Opaque :')

  • nice african music lol

  • how do you grab those crickets so fast? :P

  • @Teeklip Takes a lot of practice.

  • @Teeklip put them in the freezer for like 2min slows them down =]

  • just got my bearded dragon not to long ago from my older brother im watching her her name is ryu and i love them =] right not she is currently on my shoulder while im on the comp haha just wanted to know if its ok for them to climb all over you she went from my back to my neck back down to my lap then went up my arm and is just chillin on my shoulder reply? thanks! =]

  • @xRaversxx I don't see anything wrong with it.

  • Awesome Dragon! Is he a Sandfire or Flame?

  • @Dantheman2010ish I don't know. He doesn't really have much colour most of the time. He's usually a light beige/grey with a little bit of yellow. This video makes him look yellowish from the lighting I was using.

  • i have a bearded dragon named Toothless and how many crickets do u feed him a day? And wat size cage do u have i have a 80 galloon

  • o num num num num num num

  • Nice vid dragon looks well! Feel free to check out my bearded dragon on my channel!

  • any tips? My new bearded dragon (about 10 wks old) was fine when i first got him...then, one day, he made these weird/squeaking noises for a little while, then it stopped. also, he runs around his cage and goes crazy, but i don't know if he wants to get out or not! also, when he was putting his hand on my finger for balance one time, as he was putting it on my hand, the limb kept twitching! it stopped when he put it on my finger. he doesn't poop very often either, but he eats on and off.

  • @CashSmeller He needs to go to the vet. That does not sound healthy.

  • @cheshirecat14 okay, i'll check it out, thanks!

  • @CashSmeller Sounds like hes got bone disease.

  • Check out my Bearded Dragon video =)

  • I find them so hard to grab, my brother has one and they leap everywhere

  • that video makes me want a bearded dragon!

  • Whats wrong with his eye?

  • @jpiroden Nothing.

  • Your bearded dragon looks like it hits the gym. It has biceps lol

  • look at its biceps :D

  • dat beardie seem a bit lazy...he didn't eveh chase da crickets...he's used to been fed. dats da life LOL!!

  • Nawww, He's a sweetie pie (: ♥ You seem like a very loving owner ^-^ I can't wait to get my Beardie! <3

  • awww

  • you've hand fed him so much he doesnt even chase them anymore.

  • @gamemonster567 I hand feed him very seldom, actually. lol

He ALWAYS has to chase his crickets in his enclosure.

  • nomnomnom

  • @chesilecat14 yh exatullay but f.cking hav 2 wait till Christmas to get 1 , wits good reptile names?

  • Yo what does Hector bench?

He's got a rack and a half going on there

  • Very nice beardie, mine is only 2months old I cant wait 4 him to get this big..

  • im getting a $200 bearded dragon saturday

  • so do you have to clean everything they touch and wash your hands after words because ive heard people say that you could get a virus from them?

  • @Themisfitboys I usually just wash my hands because mine always walk and lay in their own feces as soon as they release them. You're more likely to get salmonella from the kitchen rather than a reptile though.

  • @cheshirecat14 ok thats good thanks, ive seen all these scare comments and wasnt sure.

  • i got my beardi 3 weeks ago hes about to be four months old hes awsome and hes like part sandfire becuase he has a bounch of orange on him and i only got him for 60 bucks

  • @Mr13Lizardman Congrats

  • In a few weeks I will get a Bearded Dragon, does anyone have some tips for me? Thanks.

  • @zuperquint Do a lot of research. They're really simple to care for.

  • @cheshirecat14 Thanks! I've heard that they're the most social and reptiles and that they aren't hard to take care of. I've got some books about Beardie's, so it'll be OK

  • He or she is a cute little one ;) I have a bearded dragon too, her name is Nicki and I LOOVE her :D I have been bitten by a bearded dragon loads of times, in my life i have had like 6 of them, and they do not hurt in the slightest.

  • I don't think you even need trust. My leopard geckos eat anything that moves so as long as you wave the food in front of your herp it should go right for it.

  • @ButtonSwab It really depends on the animal.

I have a red tegu who is very nervous around me. Even if her food is moving, she will not take anything from me.

  • cool i just got my first reptile to day and its a beared dragon very frindley he about 2 hes been rescue

  • might sound like a stupid question, but how do you grab the crickets like that so fast? i feel like i have to chase them around that stupid cricket keeper for ever just to feed my dragon =(

  • Hey dude Awsome beardie! How old was it in this video?? im tryin to estimate how old my female dragon is. Shes about the same size as yours and she is a sandfire hybrid. Ive already moved her into a 75 gallon tank with another male dragon. They seem to be getting along great, but i know the female should be at least 12 months old for her to safley mate with another dragon.

  • @TheMRnicolas04 I don't really know, to be honest. Maybe 2 years. I don't even know anymore.

  • @cheshirecat14 How do you train to hand feed them crickets or how long does it take for them to trust you?

    Thanks :)

  • @cheshirecat14 Are Bearded Dragons social? (Will they let you play with them and hold them and sh*t?) And do they require another beardie to go with them? Like rabbits get lonely if you just get one of them, so you usually have to get 2 rabbits at a time??

  • @CoalKeepsTheLighsOn They're somewhat social. They have ways of communicating with other dragons but I've personally found that they prefer living alone. Most reptiles do best on their own.

  • mine costed twenty you got ripped off

  • @alicolquitt1 He "cost" you twenty, not "costed". I disagree anyway.

  • @cheshirecat14 i say what i want and it did cost 20 dollars i got it at repticon if you know what that is.

  • @alicolquitt1 Yeah, I know what it is. I'm glad you got lucky. Where I live, you rarely see Bearded Dragons for $20. Even at reptile expos.

  • Is he albino? Or is it just the angle that's confusing me? His eyes look red...

  • @TheManicChick He is not albino.

  • i had to tame mine (nigel) he kept nipping my fingers

  • Nice video, but dont give him hand feeding to much, he needs to hunt!!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL, at 2:47, hes like, "I KEEL YOU!", hahaha.

  • Hey cheshirecat14,

do we need to keep them in cages?and do they bite often?pls reply cuz I plan on getting one!!

  • @tiger2cena3jbl6 Yes, they need to be kept in an enclosure that can provide them with the proper temperature gradient and basking areas.

  • aww so cute LOL his tounge is so funny lol

  • I'm getting a Bearded Dragon soon!

  • 1:38 FAIL! or lazy... O.o

  • aww, he is cute.

  • he's cool how old is he

  • how much did it cost u?

  • @mike82y I got him for around $70 from someone who was trying to get rid of him.

  • what a cutie!

  • Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom!!...A dragon never had it so good...next time put him in a Hammock with a HDTV in front of him and a pina coloda..:P

  • How Long Does It Take For A Bearded Dragon To Get That Big ?

  • @zelome1000 A Year Or Two.

  • @cheshirecat14 ok thanks

  • did you tame him so that he got used to being touched?

  • @TheJazzylee123 No, I didn't bother.

  • ok we get it, your feeding a beardi

  • @demo165ify Yeah, that was in the title of the video that you felt obligated to watch.

Ok, we get it. You just wanted to comment.

  • @BritHamper You calling me fat? D:

  • He is so CUTE!!!! :)

  • bearded dragons do not like being touched straight after they have been feed

  • @wstgoldenpro Mine don't like being touched ever.

  • Naw! :D:D:D So cute ^_^

  • 2:06 haha awesome ^^

  • I bought a baby beardie just a couple days ago, but the baby crickets I've been trying to feed him seem to be too fast for him, and pretty much impossible for me to catch, and he doesn't seem to be interested in dead ones, and not sure if he is used to the concept of hand feeding, what should I do

  • @RespectTheFight You could try feeding him from a pair of long tweezers or forceps.

  • @cheshirecat14 Thanks so much, although I believe he finally caught a couple crickets, well either that or those crickets are some marine force recon acrobats, I put 4 in and can only find 2 now, thank goodness, guess I was being a little to worried! Thanks again though.

  • @RespectTheFight I'm glad. lmao Hopefully the crickets aren't as awesome as you say and he actually ate them.

  • @cheshirecat14 ha Im pretty ate them although they were some feisty little ones

  • @RespectTheFight i'm going to buy a baby one, i have uvb bulb and getting a heating lamp and a very big glass cage for him, i also have some turlte pellets, named Turtle(originality lol) , but on the picture is also a bearded dragon and the description says : for turtles and everythingeating reptiles

could i feed mine those pellets when i get him?

    and are crickets expensive?(dead ones)

and do i need a uva, ?as i already have a uvb

    sorry for so many questions

    thanks for answering asap!!

  • @Ctoyger thank you, will look into an appointment. thanks!!!

  • sweet vid. I enjoyed the music.

  • my little beardie is 9.5 years old, past the average expectancy date, he's so skinny, barely eats, and has some sort of spinal disorder, poor guy :/

  • @artistvrd If taken care of ideally, they can reach ages of 12-19. I would take your dragon to the vet.

  • how old

  • lovely dragon, i was just wondering how many crickets would you feed a baby bearded dragon plus a bowl of greens? ..... please help :/ x

  • @242rosie I would feed him 1 to 2 crickets medium size

  • 1:37 what a lazy dragon :)

  • this made me hungry

  • he is certainly cute.Where did you get him?

  • @ThuGgZmOnNsterZ Someone was looking to find him a new home and I took him off their hands.

  • haha woah i dont think ive seen any dragon eat so much at once before o_O i was told to only feed my baby water dragon a few crickets everyday or 2. and when they're adult size to only feed them a few every second day? ah i dont know lol, cute bearded dragon anyway! :)

  • Help Needed:

I am going to get a beardie very soon and need to know the following questions,

    1. What kind of light Do I need to provide for my beardie?

    2. How much will the diet of a beardie cost and how much do I give him?

    3. Is it ok to handle a baby beardie within the first week in it's new home?

    Help is greatly appreciated ;)

    Get at me

  • @SMTX95 1. It will need a 10.0 UVB light and a heat light (needs a basking spot of around 105F)

    2. I can't say how much because different pet stores vary their prices on live insects. I try to get all my insects at reptile expos as they are much cheaper.

    3. It's generally not recommended to handle a baby beardie within in the first week or two in a new home because they need to adjust to their new surroundings and could do without the extra stress.

Do a little more research and good luck.

  • @cheshirecat14 Hey igot a beardie yesterday he's realthy and has eaten a cricket yesterday and today but he won't drink water PLz PLZ HELP .......

  • @BranFlakes7st They generally won't drink water. Mine don't.

They get their water content from the food they eat. I offer mine watermelon and cucumber for water along with all of their other greens.

  • @cheshirecat14 Thanks and i tried to stroke him and he did't mind it too mutch todays the third day of havin him should i pet him?

    Branflakes

  • @BranFlakes7st Just leave him alone for a week or two. He needs time to acclimate to his new surroundings.

  • @BranFlakes7st Also u should bathe your dragon in warm water that washes them and helps pooping and it gives them water to soak up!!

  • @SMTX95 just saying but mine costs about a £5 a week to feed

  • Feeding of crickets, Not cool.....

  • @Msallicat911 Glad you know how my animals are raised and cared for.

  • Do the crickets have to be alive or can they be dead??........i hate touching bugs....

  • @1Brielley Most bearded dragons associate movement with food. They are naturally predators so they are more attracted to food if it is moving. It is better to feed them live food anyways because the fresher the feeder insect, the healthy your lizard will be. Basically, live food is the way to go and if you dont like touching bugs just take a small container and corner a few into it. that way you catch them without having to touch them.

  • @apolloswish Okay thank you :)

  • i wouldnt be able to ever touch an insect... they freak me out!
