Our store didnt find out about liquidation until we got a call from a customer who was asking how the liquidation was going to effect their rebates. We were all like WTF? Fuck CC the assholes who drove it into the ground and Phil Screwover in particular i hope he rots in hell. I work at a better company now though so whatever.

I worked at CC 3127 Gurnee and this first day video makes me feel like last day of CC. I didnt realize how much i loved hanging with the people i worked with until after it was all over. I still stay in touch with some of them and 2 of the guys i worked with are brothers and are now in a band that is quite amazing check them out on youtube Dangerous Liaisons in Grayslake. The rebates are not CC's to deal with, they print them out at the register and they were obtainable online. Rebates are done through manufacturer's so if it was a Sony laptop for instance you would have had to mail off the rebate recipt and UPC with serial number to the address listed on the bottom of the rebate recipt. If you didnt get them you should have made copies of everything before sending it and call the number at the bottom to see if its processing.

I worked for customer service out of the stores, I now work for a different client and I am so thankful. All the employees at Circuit City were horrible and did not know what the hell they were doing. I felt sorry for every customer I had to help that had a terrible experience with the associates and the horrible management. I am sorry they are now jobless, but this place could not be saved not only did the employees suck but everything was overpriced. GO TO BEST BUY!! Woot Woot!!!

MY store was apart of the first 155 closing. I was Technology Supervisor at Trussville Store 0829. It sucked the first day man, to walk into a store and see nothing but liquidation signs up and nothing firedog or circuit city involved. I Wish all of the 34,000 employees good luck on finding a new job. Its hard and I hope yall get your severance pay. All I know is when I received my PTO check that was my severance.

He's been our CEO for what...5 months? He comes in and runs us into the ground like his prior company and tries to act like there was nothing he could do. REMEMBER...$5 to $8 MILLION!!! This video makes me want to cry even though its a different store. My Husband has been coming home all stressed out since the announcement of the liquidation. All of the abuse the customers are putting on the employees with ignorant comments about "this is why your going out of business..." Just stand strong till its done. I worked at the CC in Yonkers New york from October 17th to December 26th,2007. I had the best Managers there and best associates. Its a shame it closed. I now work at Wal-mart. I'll miss you CC. The break room was the shit an X360 a flat screen TV a DVD player and of course the Computer room. That was one job where i was actually happy at.

It is sad CCity had to shut down like this. Even though some consumers have expressed dislike for CCity, I truly believed most of CCity's employees are smart and well rounded in the field of technology.

It is sad the employees have to suffer for mis-management in the upper ranks. CCity should have left the center of their floors fully staffed to assist customers, instead of moving the employee base from center floor. My sympathy to the good CCity employees dedicated to their jobs.

The problem was CC made cuts to their stock and employees. I used to like CC a couple of years ago before the cuts. I never liked Best Buy, CC had a better atmosphere. Best Buy has a louder atmosphere and they treat every customer like a thief.
