For 60 episodes I've made fun of this show, while trying to remain polite.

This episode I favorited without clicking Like. Is it just me or does anyone else think I might be in denial?

Now I have to go back and favorite the episode where Will is totally enchanted and absorbed in watching Sonny and Chad's banter in the bar.

Will should be kissing Sonny, someone who is actually nice, not becoming EJ's flunky. And yet... this particular dodge & detour to his ever coming out is so enticingly sick!

@connix69 We've been shown EJ's noting Will's behavior at critical moments for a reason—so that we'd know that EJ knows. And his comment about prison not being the place for a man of Will's "disposition," etc. Even for this show, it would be too huge a misdirection of viewers for EJ not to know.

@alwaysuseless that is a good point. I had forgotten about the prison comment. But, it still seems a stretch that EJ would know something that Will himself is just beginning to figure out. Like Sonny said, "he just isn't there yet" and Sonny spends a lot of time with Will. EJ's exposure to Will has been peripheral at best and certainly not intimate in a way that would allow him to figure this out.

EJ prob does know, but I don't think it makes sense for him to have done so.

At this point, they intend for us to believe, as Will does, that EJ knows—which means, btw, that Will knows. ㋡ If Will hasn't figured it out, that's another inconsistency.

This scenario is more of a if you let Will go on a road of self destruction, do it properly. From a dramatic perspective this scenario gives more storylines out then any other couple pairing. They have an interesting chemistry and Will would turn more of a bad boy. Nobody said its realistical, but its interesting.

Between Will telling Sonny that he was tired of playing the good boy all the time, and the smile he tried to suppress as EJ talked about the rush of almost getting caught, it's easy to see that Will is taking the bait. Throw in EJ's "perks" and the satisfaction of pissing Sami off, and you know it's only a matter of time until the kid goes full on Vader.

Funny little fact: EJ wasn't born until 1997, two years after Will, but was aged in 2006 to his mid twenties.

And sometimes the most over the top storylines are the best, because they deliver entertainment. And will and Ej as a couple sparks reaction which will make it entertaining. Imagine them dancing together on a prom and the reaction of others. It would produce a reaction.
