what would you say is better for a 9mm carry gun, pdx1, er critical defense. i trust the critical defense in my 45lc, but for a little 9mm, what would you choose, beteween those 2. thanks man.
Should a Glock 26 be ok to handle these +p+ loads???
I don't plan on shooting these through it regularly, just to carry.
Also I would like to see a test of the 130 grn. .38 +p version of these rounds. From what I hear It has the best penetration and expansion of any other .38 hallowpoint.
@Illadelsyde My G26 did just fine with them. It's not like you're going to shoot them everyday for how much they cost. You have to test the rounds you carry for a piece of mind anyway.
nasty stuff. i just bought a box today for about $36 total (shipping was pricey). i'll be swapping these into my full size USP and swapping its 147 gr HST standard pressure rounds into my subcompact. nice video
@pystolwhip I got into guns during the high velocity/energy swing on the pendulum. I suppose shooting a .357 Mag has biased me somewhat. Either the 127 Gr. +P+ or the 147 Gr. would work just fine. Just a personal preference I suppose but I load the 127's
I have a PT92 and i just got a box of these rounds... when i cycle through the clip physically by cocking and letting go, cocking letting go and so on. I have a few jams! it gets caught on the tapered area just below the barrel... Any advice ??? thanks
@ShawnBoy333 Continued rechambering of auto rounds causes setback of the bullet in the case. This changes the overall length of the round and can cause dangerous pressure spikes if fired. These setback rounds could cause feeding problems if they are to far out of spec. Dispose of any rounds that are set back too far. Checking for reliability by manually feeding rounds is not the best way to test. You should really fire some live rounds and see if you have the same feed problems.
what's the difference between winchester ranger's and winchester ranger t's?? I just bought a whole case of 500 winchester ranger's 135gr .40s&w. I'm pretty stoked about it. I'll definately be able to make sure my defensive .40's shoot reliably.
@808Arsenal I believe there are a number of Winchester Ranger brand rounds that have similar boxes. There is a bonded version, a regular JHP (nothing special), Ranger-T, NATO FMJ, etc... Make sure you get the ones you want before you buy. If it does not say T-Series or SXT on it, it's not the ones with talons as far as I know.
@andreleger2001 i just opened a box of my ranger's. I noticed that your ranger t's are nickel plated cased or something, while my regular ranger's are brass cased. I wonder if that's the only difference?
@808Arsenal Does yours say T-Series or SXT on the box? It may be the regular hollow point (no talons). What is the product code on the box? (ie this one is RA9TA)
@808Arsenal I looked that up its regular 135 gr. 40 S&W hollow points. I don't think we have tested that kind yet. I'll try to get some for next session. They are not Ranger-T though, but still decent hollow points likely.
@andreleger2001 me as well . and actually Andre , where you do you get yours from , my supplier is going out of business and no longer has any in stock .

@evilside209 I like the 127 +P+ over the 147 gr, but either will get the job done.

Hi there. Can I ask why you prefer the 127s over the 147s? Thanks and great videos!
