Asking Mitt to explain 1994 dissing of Reagan

Romney ignores that he had pointed out that he was an "Independent during Reagan".

Romney left the GOP during the Reagan Presidency disgusted at Reagan's conservatism, Mitt supported democrats, fund raised democrat, and joined the GOP again in 1993, doing Planned parenthood fundraisers as late as 1994.

Mitt's father ran as the antiwar Presidential candidate against Reagan in 1968.

Mitt was living in France, avoiding the draft during that election.

Ignoring the past? Not so, in fact WhyRomney(dot)com has exposed all these false claims against Mitt and given the truth of Mitt's past. I'm not ignoring it, it would seem that you are. The videos can be manipulated and edited. Look at SOURCES and then do your research and make up your own mind. Don't just repeat what someone else posted in a 2 second clip.

At the end of his administration, the Reagan debt was about $220 billion.

Sounds kind of quaint compared to now, doesn't it?

The benefit of course was the eradication of the USSR, and I'm willing to bet the U.S. has saved at least $220 billion since the end of the Cold War.

@XKG80 True. The debt expanded under Reagan. But tax revenue went up due to a growing economy. The problem was spending, not revenue.

The military spending was justified (aside from some of the wasteful stuff in any gov. bureaucracy) but alot of the other stuff wasn't. Problem was, the Democratic House didn't want to make the cuts.
