I am still at a loss to know how this could possibly be played tremolo, if I am playing the original sheet. The melody crosses strings almost every note. It must be played much slower, not faster, to get any kind of tremolo effect.
Would somebody please post it as it should be played?
I'm a medicine student, but I love the guitar, and I would like to ask you, If only you can, tell me, where can I found that piece? or could you send it to me?
That was enjoyable. Your guitar has a great tone as well, though it appears well-worn. YouTube is turning out to be a great place to discover new and playable music. Thanks for the contribution. I hope I can find the sheet music somewhere.
Thank you oldwhtman. The guitar is a 1967 Oskar Teller and you are right, it is badly in need of an overhaul!! I think it still has a nice rich tone though and would not wish to lose that by a program of repair.
Not at all sir. It actually looks quite healthy with the lighting!! You should see it in reality. The poor thing has never had a case. It fell on my head as a child and broke entirely into two pieces across the machine heads. I bet Mason Williams looked after his model a little better than this!!
If you e-mail me with a fax number I will be happy to let you have a copy of the music for Petronila.
Since you mention Mason Williams. May ask if you intend to upload "Classical Gas" any time soon. Judging from your technical abilities you should do an excellent job with it. There have been some fine attempts uploaded, but most fall quite short. I was about to attempt it myself in the next few days, but as usual, the gods decided to interrupt my ambitions by ripping off my entire index finger nail. That will set me back about two months.
very nice job. Thanks for the upload. I think that speed works quite well.

This piece was composed by Lauro as a tremolo study. It should be played much faster; nonetheless, a nice play!

Thanks for that F.
I must have a pretty basic arrangement of the piece then!
I thought it was easy(ish) for a Lauro piece!!

NP. I think you have the original piece; just increase the speed and it will get interesting! :-)

Paul: Yes, I would like very much to have the sheet of Petronila. Where I can find it? If I get the piece, I will post it in YouTube.

Hola bueno ese tema se requiere un nivel de inspiracion muy alto ya que la misma se toca mas rapido a su tiempo normal...es un consejo de ejecucion

I hope you don't think I was suggesting there was something wrong with it's appearance. It has character. And the sound is excellent.

I do have the sheet music for Classical Gas. I may well dig it out and give it a go. Sorry about the nail.
