I like Epi's. The Les Pauls compare particularly well with the Gibsons, and for the money they are a bargain. Don't know much about the SG's though. They look cool. Good vid!

LOL. yeah the guitar i used is a mid line epi, but we must not under rate epi just because they make affordable guitars, they developed the Les Paul in their initial stages before Gibson Acquired epi back in the 50's (i guess), and also because of the fact that epi was the main competitor of Gibson during the first half of the 20th century

idk..the ones that approach gibson price(epihone elites)are better for the same money(around 1200).and the the flying Vs play almost identical when they are set up the same.and the price difference is large.i play ibanez though.i just love them for some reason.

well duh. but MOST of the tone come from the amp. Take the best Gibson and run it through a shitty amp. doesnt matter how good the guitar is the amp will make it sound like crap. either you have a decent guitar (like the epiphone) and a good amp. like his. or you have a decent amp and a great guitar. or you can have both. im just saying his amp probably covers for the guitar tone.

its an epiphone SG, it comes with the G-400 pickups so we changed the bridge pup for a dimarzio DP-159 evolution, and soldered the chrome cover to the new pickup, we also waxed the pickup before insertion in the cover.

I usually just buy my wood from suppliers instead of cutting the tree down, rough sawing, kiln drying, and planing it myself.
