  • Noooow i see the influence that BB King had on Jimi...

  • thank you Very Good.

  • is the guitar neck locked or something, or how do you manage to keep it so still? great lesson btw.

  • @nikolajhansen15 Yeah, it's clamped. You can see what looks like a body clamp on the body.

I think Michael J Fox owns one too.

  • @gingersteve

    hahahah...best fox joke ever :D

  • what's the name of this song???

  • That is one gorgeous fretboard/inlays! wow.

  • tankyou

  • Which strings are those man? They bend like butter, if I tried to do that on my acoustic I'd be bleeding for days.

  • @MrFranciscoFidalgo 9s man, your acoustic will probably have 10s and since its an acoustic it wont bend as smoothly, :)

  • right on! I dig it

  • what amp are you usingÇ

  • ok nice stuff however how does one get that sound?

  • @TheMoll60 Just his guitar, amp, settings on his amp, strings, pickups, all that stuff

  • This is a fantastic video, but there is one major problem. The vibrato that B.B. King uses is not the one you depict. I watched a video on here of B.B. King showing you how he does vibrato, and he said a lot of people think it's like what you did. he actually just moves his finger back and forth inside the fret. Great video, but I thought I'd clear that up.

  • Angus Young uses a this style of quick vibrato :D

  • thx for that good vid dude :-)

  • Great lesson, thanks.

  • oh i see ur using a something to hold up the guitar so you body won't move it so much. nice.

  • thanks.

  • think of bending like your turning a door knob

  • nice prs

  • i love the neck inlays

  • Thats so sad that people are saying your race affects your blues playing. Black, White, Chinese or Indian.. it does not matter. Blues comes from the soul and the soul has no race.

  • @VerZatiLe the soul indeed has a race. It's the music has no race, or have no race...whatever.

  • you could also use the harmonic minor scale in that box.

  • is his guitar sitting on a stand? and is he standing up?

  • yes.yes :D

  • cheers for the tips

  • what pick ups are u using or wich pick ups would you recomend for blues and that doesdnt "buzz" when I turn up the distortion for hardrock?

    thanx

  • fender soundless or noiseless. i forgot what they are called.

  • bb king HIMSELF said that john mayer understands the blues more than anyone else he's ever met and john mayer is one of the whitest people i know. You don't have to be black to get the blues, dude. You just have to have that special musical fire deep down inside. Put Derek Trucks in a room with T-Pain and I wonder which one will play better, more soulful blues.

  • @ghani666 Blacks DID start blues though; that's a fact.

  • Well first af all nice vid. 2nd id like to comment eagle2fla. Learn to read the title first. it says in the style of, and of course id like to say shut the fuck up you racist bastard. Blues is for everybody, or maybe youd like to say to eric and stevie ray they cant play, dumbass.

  • As hwesta123 said, in the interview I was watching , BB himself said the reason he doesn't play and sing at the same time was because he couldn't. He said he tried it, but one caused him to mess up the other. That's why he does them separately , it then became "his" style. Gotta love BB.

  • that sounds like me ive got a decent singing voice and am quite good at guitar but i can't for the life of me put them together oherwise my timing messes up

  • i know tell me about it its a bitch aint it

  • Niles428, BB relates s in interview after interview the story that PeterVadim told. Check out almost any of his interviews.

  • B.B King has a unique sound

  • he doesnt use a palm mute to rake the strings he uses his thumb of his left hand

  • awesome sound!

  • Very intelligent player. I would suggest a visual tutorial instead of the "3rd" to the "9th" lingo. Did BB know theory? I doubt it, but he sho could play! NICE JOB, though, player. You've got the touch!

  • He was in a bar once, and two guys were fighting over a woman. The fight got real bad, and a stupid mistake caused the bar to set on fire. Every body, including BB ran out of the bar. But then, he realized he had left his guitar in the bar so he rushed back in to get it. He later remembered, that the woman the two guys were fighting about was called Lucille, so he named his guitar Lucille.

  • what kind of guitar is that at the very end of the video? it looks a lot like a brian moore, but i can't quite tell.

  • Read B.B.'s autobiography then talk

  • would someone tell me wats song is this played in this video?

  • "paying the cost to be the boss"

  • I really doubt that. Of course we can only speculate because we will never know for sure. But at least B. B. said himself that for him song is a dialog between guitar and vocal. That's why he doesn't want to sing and play at the same time.

  • I saw it in a video, he was taking an interview and said "I cant play guitar and sing at the same time, its virtually impossible for me" idk where the vid is, but if i see it i'll give it a hollerr.

  • I think he was speaking figuratively? I'm pretty sure he could if he put his mind to it

  • i agree

  • It's B.B. King.. he's God. lol

  • he has a very unique tone but its awsome, did u get his new album?

  • thanks for sharing men

  • can you send me the tabs for the part that is played in the beginning of the video

  • You should try working it out for yourself from what you can hear of it, because if you want to be able to solo over any chord, you will eventually have to do ear-training.
