@LardassTheGayHippo I cannot remember the gearing. Sold this one long time ago. For the motor temps I didn't really care. I planned to use the Novak motor until it burned and then get a Neu-motor. But the Novak never broke down no matter how hard I pushed and abused it. Measured it once to just above 100C but I've definately had higher temps than that.
@nerilorenzo2 Very good. Expensive, but worth it. Very reliable. None of my two failed due to overload or overheating even though I triggered the overheating protection _a lot_! THey were rated peak current 200A but I measured over 500A peak a couple of times. That means about 6000 watts peak.
I really can't remember. They're from a large nitro monster truck. Thunder Tiger I think. It was just something they had hanging in a local store. Rims are Proline.
Charging takes about one hour till it's almost full and ca. 1:30 to completely full. You don't have to charge it completely before driving. The last 10% takes a looong time to charge.
Run time is anywhere from 10 min to 20 min. Depends on the driving and gearing.
I'm not sure if I understand the question. I'm not sure about the performance of the stock Novak-ESC as it blew before I got to test it on the EMAXX. But a more powerful ESC will give you more power from the motor even if it is a HV6.5.
As for Novak Esc vs. MGM-Esc: The MGM is much more robust, waterproof, takes higher voltage and is programmable. It is also MUCH more expensive though.
Nitro Revo uses the same driveshafts as the new EMAXX. You can find cheaper steel driveshafts at rc-monster. The riginal Traxxas shafts are quite expensive.
Also, your priorities (after driveshafts) should be Shock towers, bulkheads and then upper and lower arms.
Summit is the one with remote locking differentials? I'm not sure those can handle the power without breaking. I picture Summit is more for crawling. The Emaxx is great but needs a couple of upgrades. Mainly shock towers and driveshafts. Even my EMAXX breaks hardened steel axles some times, but thats because I use huge tires.
I haven't clocked it yet. I don't have a GPS or a laser/radar so I'll have to use the good old drive-between-two-known-points-and-calculate-average-speed-between-them. :P
I usually drive off-road so speed is not my main concern. Right now steering is. The plastic gears in the stock servos break all the time and I can't find the servo horns that fits standard servos anywhere. I've got the part number but theyre sold out everywhere.
If I remember correctly I have a 16T pinion and 68T spur. Power-wise it's no problem but it do get a little too hot in 2nd gear after a while. This is due to the huge tires I have (6,5" outside diameter). If I use 1st. gear for low-speed terrain and climbing and 2nd. on flats and high speed terrain, there is usually no problem with overheating.
Rundt 5 minutter med to 3000mAh-NiMh-batterier.
Finally... a video of a brushless E-Maxx doing what a monster truck is supposed to do, OFF-ROAD! Excellent video. Much better than running up and down a street! Looks like a fun place. What wheels and tires are those?
how are the motor temps after running like that? And what gearing?

This is for changing between 1st gear and second gear. 1st gear is optional. You have to buy and install it yourself.

Exactly! And the funny thing is... It's on the streets and parking lots I break things. Almost never off road.
The wheels are Proline Velocity with 23mm HD hex.
The tires I don't know. I just asked in a local store for the biggest truck tires that would fit those wheels. They are from a big 1:8 nitro truck.
