You know everyone likes to say that Ali in his prime would walk circles around Mik Tyson, and frankly im sick of hearing that shit. He caught tyson clean. But tysons style of dipping a sloppy right jab and countering with that hammer of a left to the head, was un-matchable!
You 'so called' Tyson fans dont know jack about boxing.. Tyson would knock Ali out blah blahh.. seriously do you people just compare boxing highlights on youtube. GET A FUCKING CLUE. Ali fought the meanest punchers in boxing (foreman, shavers, liston, frazier etc) and believe me if Ali can take these punches, Tyson is not a superior power puncher than whom i mentioned. Dont be fooled by Tysons effectiveness and ability caz Ali had more talent on 1 of his eyelash than those who Tyson fought.
honestly ali vs tyson would have been the best fight in history, it would be hard to say who would come out on top, some say ali for his speed and jab that wouldnt let tyson in close like he usually does, but if he hit ali with one of those devastating punches we see here, i think ali would be counting sheep, but ali might have been fast enough to avoid them, there is no telling and never will be, it will always be just talk and personal opinion
@kazuia20 a good clean hit by mostly any heavyweight should be putting people on the ropes, if not out completely. the problem is, is that clean hits are hard to come by.
@Kazuia20 Exactly what they said about Ali v Liston. They were wrong. Make no mistake, Liston had all the same aggression and presence as Tyson did. Foreman was bursting heavy bags (and sparring partners) in training and was quite capable of putting anyones lights out. Frazier was a heavy hitter too. Ali was not known as a big hitter but was skillful enough to tame all of them. Tyson's opponents were not in the same class as any of them. I do believe Tyson was in that class. Just not top of it
He was a hard, hard man, but not the best BOXER ever in my opinion. Ali fought a few fighters who could hit extremely hard as well, Liston was (like Tyson was) a really scary guy who intimidated others, but Ali's skill tamed him, Of course it can only ever be guesswork but mine is on Ali. How many people have written on this that "if Tyson hadn't gone to jail etc etc" but he did and who's fault was that? You can say he MAY have gone on to be the greatest, but for me at least, he didn't and isn't

Muhammad Ali is the Sun, and the rest are Stars flickering in distant skies; for when the Sun rises, no Stars in the sky are visible
@11Saciid I take it you dont know much about boxing then? Tyson was the best and alway's will be. Don't get me wrong Ali was a great boxer but Tyson would of knocked him all over the place. And since the Tyson day's i've not seen a boxer fight the way Mike Tyson did.
That man is so powerful and fast its scary. Most of his opponents are taller then him and have more reach but Tyson simply is too agile. Each one of tyson's punch has the power to knock you out.
Tyson at his prime = Best boxer in human history, absolutely unstopable. Noone out there to match him. Not Ali, not Lennox.... god damn iit, he would knock both of them out at the same time in his prime.
@dan7edan7e - wrong. in his prime he beat up a lot of bums and fighters who were nothing special. the fact that he knocked them out fast was impressive but it just so happened that he couldnt do it against the best fighters like holyfield. he had no other game plan other than try and go for the knock out, when that didnt work he was clueless. best boxer in history? not even top 5 heavyweight in history. go and read up on boxing.
This is the most idiotic comment I've ever seen, you fucking asshole don't understand that if Mike would be fighting Ali (or anyone else) both in their prime years, he would just simply break their jaw! Remember that being imprisoned was also a part of the decline of Tyson's career.
@dan7edan7e, and yet, he couldn't knock out Mitch Green, James Smith, Tony Tucker and James Tillis in this fabled "prime" of his - yet according to you, he knocks out Ali and Lewis at the same time? Aaww, doesn't quite make sense does it? Ali beat Liston x 2, Norton x 2, Shavers, Lyle, Patterson x 2, Quarry, Foreman, Frazier x 2; remind me again, who exactly was Tyson beating in his "prime?" The washed up old ghost of Holmes? Light-Heavyweight Spinks? Legends Bruno, Berbick, Biggs and Williams?
@iljn1988 It's not just who he beat but how he was beating them, everyone a has guys they couldn't put away even Foreman went the distance with journeyman when he was coming up. And you're point works both ways. Prime Ali's gotten knocked flat on his ass by lessor fighters than Tyson, Lewis has a glass jaw and he's been knocked out cold by lessor fighters than Tyson. Tyson is basically a faster version of Frazier with power in either hand, he has all the tools to beat Ali.
@iljn1988 Lewis barley beat Bruno who Tyson demolished. It's very obvious prime Tyson would have destroyed a young Lewis. Ali posses a bigger problem, because Ali had a great chin, if Tyson can't put him away early Ali' s won. However Ali, especialy in his prime relied heavily on his refelxes to evade punches often steping straight back. Ali has never seen anyone who can close distance like Tyson, if Tyson caught him, well, he's one of the greatest finishers in the history of the sport.
@xSportsKingx, Liston & Foreman cut off space just as well as Tyson, and there's another key element - Ali raised his game against the biggest tests and toughtest fights, whereas Tyson fell apart every time. Too mentally weak to beat Ali, it would be man versus boy. Everything Tyson struggled with - lack of intimidation, jab and movement, height etc - Ali had in abundance. Tyson nuthuggers moaning about 'prime' as if we can ignore a defeat just because they don't like. He wasn't in Ali's league.
@iljn1988 Ali lost to Frazier, but of coarse after a lay off he was rusty and his reflexes had slowed,. See how I just did that? I took Ali's layoff into consideration like a reasonable person. Lets also take Tysons layoff (which was much longer than Ali's layoff) into consderation. Post Rooney Tyson wasn't the same techniquely or mentality, post prison Tyson's heart wasn't in it, anyone who knows boxing can clearly see that. It's unknown whether the weaknesses you listed apply to prime Tyson.
@iljn1988 No Foreman and Liston certainly did not close distance like Tyson. Tyson moved like a middleweight, probably the second fastest legit heavyweight aside from Ali. Speed is very important, because faster fighters are more likely to catch guys like Ali that relied heavily on their reflexes.
@iljn1988 no he was beating everyone in the division , holyfield , thomas etc. so ok ali fought frazier twice and lost , twice. dont get me wrong he was a great fighter but tyson would of matched his speed and destroyed him with his power and style
@iljn1988 he fought everyone who was fighting and made them look like jokes, if tyson hadnt been around then some of those fighters mite have been "legends"
i think you are confusing the fact that he made everyone he fought look like a joke with everyone he fought being bad.
@iljn1988 So tyson was shit you saying? He was a good boxer but ali accomplished more that's all. take ali (in his prime) and tyson (in his prime) and we probably would see an interesting fight. Frazier gave an interesting fight too, even though he got beat twice by Foremen, he even won once against Ali. It's not strictly who you beat before its more often who you beat now. You get what I mean. =D To discredit Tyson like this isn't really fair.
@ColdByrdz, my comment says nothing about Tyson which isn't true or can't be justified. Never said he was 'shit' at all, and nor would I ever. He was a superb Heavyweight boxer and I'm a big admirer of his early career. But I absolutely detest this idea that you can suddenly ignore anything you don't like (ie losses), redefine what a 'prime' is and I hate people who spout bile about him being the greatest somehow. He clearly fell WELL short of that. FIne fighter, but not of the elite level.
@iljn1988 Ok, I got your comment wrong then, my fault. I don't think he is the best and comparing him to the best isn't fair, but I think he deserves to be called a great boxer. Don't take my comment in any offensive way, I just wanted to point out that Fraizer might have been beaten by Foreman (2x) but Foreman was beaten by Ali, Ali was beaten once by Fraizer (ok, Ali won 2x but both times were actually close and could have gone both ways, great fights =D).
@iljn1988 This shows that its not always about who you won against, you know. But you know what my ultimate fights would be? Ali vs Klitschkos and Wladimir Klitschko vs Ike Ibeabuchi. The latter just because I'm half Nigerian and would like to see how Ike actually would have performed against Wladimir. =p Tyson vs Ali would be kind of an interesting fight. But well, never gonna happen. xD
@ColdByrdz, no apology necessary mate, and don't get me wrong, I think Ali-Tyson would be an interesting fight as well. I just think that Ali would win the huge majority of the time. The Ali of '64-'67 stops Tyson '86-'90 late on. The Tyson of '86-'90 might have a chance of outpointing the older and slower Ali of the mid to late 70s, but I'd still make Ali favourite. I think Ibeabuchi would have obliterated Wladimir - I rate, Wlad, but styles make fights and Ike is all wrong for him.
@iljn1988 none beats tyson in his prime, none did, none would have done, not even Ali.
you think because of his size and height, and being fast would have an advantage overr tyson, well in his prime tyson beat bigger guys, and fast ones too...just didn't give them time to move!
@dan7edan7e I take it that you've not seen much boxing, what a stupid comment to make. "Best in human history" what other history might be considered when talking about boxing. Kangaroos maybe?? yeah yeah Tyson could walk on water, what a bunch of crap. He had a big punch that's it, he had very little skill and no class as a man, he has since mellowed and started thinking about what he says and does, he's a better man for it. I wish him well but he's not even close to No1.
@dan7edan7e I agreee!!! I Hate how they make these Fight Night games as if they can last with each other for 10 rounds....One of Mike Tysons jabs would have knocked Ali's ass out of the fucking ring. I Performed a Tyson SUPER punch and Ali barely shifts his head back...I mean...come on man.
@dan7edan7e Ali would have smashed Tyson. They both had different styles, Tyson was a brawler, Ali was super technical. Ali could take a beating. He'd let you keep hitting you till you were gassed, then he'd fuck your shit up. I would have loved to see Ali vs. Tyson, but sadly, that will never happen !
lol not even close. tyson beat very few good opponents, and even a decent boxer could keep him at bay with ease. when he fought lennox he was old and washed up but the styles told the story. tyson was useless against a smart outside fighter.
@Snickerssuper if only your parents have taught you to read, you would know that I am talking about Tyson "IN HIS PRIME". Also, if only you were not completely incompetent in sports, you would know that Tyson lost to Lewis in 2002, which was way after Tyson's years of glory. e.g. You dont go around saying Karelin sucks at wrestling just because he is a 50 year old man now. Thirdly, there is no way to check whether I am right or wrong, cuz we will never see Tyson in his prime again. Bye.
if mike would of staed drug free, and would of concentrated on his boxing career he would of been the greatest!! not that h wasnt but he would of gotten way farther than what he got!!
Mike tyson isnt good at boxing? Are you Tupid? He had a major drug trade business back in the day ya know? So he would knock people out quickly and get back to his Real job!
@harissuhonjic But isn't that the point of boxing? You can have all the form, training, and technique in the world. But at the end of the day, its about who does the most damage to their opponent. And Tyson did that. He was a savage monster, and one of the greatest of all time!
the speed of his combos and that massive right and then the sheer size of some the guys hes hitting what a fucking beast easily when he was in his best shape one of the best pound for pound boxers that has ever lived just a monster i cant imagine what beingo n the end of that right must be like
5:06 - 5:15 he makes that guy look like a fool lol.

Bro in his "prime" he never beat anyone worth a shit lewis and ali are so much better.
403766 1 year ago
@dan7edan7e - wrong. in his prime he beat up a lot of bums and fighters who were nothing special. the fact that he knocked them out fast was impressive but it just so happened that he couldnt do it against the best fighters like holyfield. he had no other game plan other than try and go for the knock out, when that didnt work he was clueless. best boxer in history? not even top 5 heavyweight in history. go and read up on boxing.

@mknightfilms
This is the most idiotic comment I've ever seen, you fucking asshole don't understand that if Mike would be fighting Ali (or anyone else) both in their prime years, he would just simply break their jaw! Remember that being imprisoned was also a part of the decline of Tyson's career.
tonicipriani10 1 year ago
Legends Bruno, Berbick, Biggs and Williams?
iljn1988 1 year ago 2
@iljn1988 It's not just who he beat but how he was beating them, everyone a has guys they couldn't put away even Foreman went the distance with journeyman when he was coming up. And you're point works both ways. Prime Ali's gotten knocked flat on his ass by lessor fighters than Tyson, Lewis has a glass jaw and he's been knocked out cold by lessor fighters than Tyson. Tyson is basically a faster version of Frazier with power in either hand, he has all the tools to beat Ali.
xSportsKingx 7 months ago
@iljn1988 Lewis barley beat Bruno who Tyson demolished. It's very obvious prime Tyson would have destroyed a young Lewis. Ali posses a bigger problem, because Ali had a great chin, if Tyson can't put him away early Ali' s won. However Ali, especialy in his prime relied heavily on his refelxes to evade punches often steping straight back. Ali has never seen anyone who can close distance like Tyson, if Tyson caught him, well, he's one of the greatest finishers in the history of the sport.
xSportsKingx 7 months ago
@xSportsKingx, Liston & Foreman cut off space just as well as Tyson, and there's another key element - Ali raised his game against the biggest tests and toughtest fights, whereas Tyson fell apart every time. Too mentally weak to beat Ali, it would be man versus boy. Everything Tyson struggled with - lack of intimidation, jab and movement, height etc - Ali had in abundance. Tyson nuthuggers moaning about 'prime' as if we can ignore a defeat just because they don't like. He wasn't in Ali's league.
iljn1988 7 months ago
@iljn1988 Ali lost to Frazier, but of coarse after a lay off he was rusty and his reflexes had slowed,. See how I just did that? I took Ali's layoff into consideration like a reasonable person. Lets also take Tysons layoff (which was much longer than Ali's layoff) into consderation. Post Rooney Tyson wasn't the same techniquely or mentality, post prison Tyson's heart wasn't in it, anyone who knows boxing can clearly see that. It's unknown whether the weaknesses you listed apply to prime Tyson.
xSportsKingx 7 months ago
@iljn1988 No Foreman and Liston certainly did not close distance like Tyson. Tyson moved like a middleweight, probably the second fastest legit heavyweight aside from Ali. Speed is very important, because faster fighters are more likely to catch guys like Ali that relied heavily on their reflexes.
xSportsKingx 7 months ago
@iljn1988 no he was beating everyone in the division , holyfield , thomas etc. so ok ali fought frazier twice and lost , twice. dont get me wrong he was a great fighter but tyson would of matched his speed and destroyed him with his power and style
TheAnthonybrown100 6 months ago
@iljn1988 he fought everyone who was fighting and made them look like jokes, if tyson hadnt been around then some of those fighters mite have been "legends"
i think you are confusing the fact that he made everyone he fought look like a joke with everyone he fought being bad.
Nexta12321 6 months ago
@iljn1988 So tyson was shit you saying? He was a good boxer but ali accomplished more that's all. take ali (in his prime) and tyson (in his prime) and we probably would see an interesting fight. Frazier gave an interesting fight too, even though he got beat twice by Foremen, he even won once against Ali. It's not strictly who you beat before its more often who you beat now. You get what I mean. =D To discredit Tyson like this isn't really fair.
ColdByrdz 6 months ago
@ColdByrdz, my comment says nothing about Tyson which isn't true or can't be justified. Never said he was 'shit' at all, and nor would I ever. He was a superb Heavyweight boxer and I'm a big admirer of his early career. But I absolutely detest this idea that you can suddenly ignore anything you don't like (ie losses), redefine what a 'prime' is and I hate people who spout bile about him being the greatest somehow. He clearly fell WELL short of that. FIne fighter, but not of the elite level.
iljn1988 6 months ago
@iljn1988 Ok, I got your comment wrong then, my fault. I don't think he is the best and comparing him to the best isn't fair, but I think he deserves to be called a great boxer. Don't take my comment in any offensive way, I just wanted to point out that Fraizer might have been beaten by Foreman (2x) but Foreman was beaten by Ali, Ali was beaten once by Fraizer (ok, Ali won 2x but both times were actually close and could have gone both ways, great fights =D).
ColdByrdz 6 months ago
@iljn1988 This shows that its not always about who you won against, you know. But you know what my ultimate fights would be? Ali vs Klitschkos and Wladimir Klitschko vs Ike Ibeabuchi. The latter just because I'm half Nigerian and would like to see how Ike actually would have performed against Wladimir. =p Tyson vs Ali would be kind of an interesting fight. But well, never gonna happen. xD
ColdByrdz 6 months ago
@ColdByrdz, no apology necessary mate, and don't get me wrong, I think Ali-Tyson would be an interesting fight as well. I just think that Ali would win the huge majority of the time. The Ali of '64-'67 stops Tyson '86-'90 late on. The Tyson of '86-'90 might have a chance of outpointing the older and slower Ali of the mid to late 70s, but I'd still make Ali favourite. I think Ibeabuchi would have obliterated Wladimir - I rate, Wlad, but styles make fights and Ike is all wrong for him.
iljn1988 6 months ago

HVAEUHV 1 year ago
@dan7edan7e I agreee!!! I Hate how they make these Fight Night games as if they can last with each other for 10 rounds....One of Mike Tysons jabs would have knocked Ali's ass out of the fucking ring. I Performed a Tyson SUPER punch and Ali barely shifts his head back...I mean...come on man.
AMAURIS966 1 year ago
@dan7edan7e Ali would have smashed Tyson. They both had different styles, Tyson was a brawler, Ali was super technical. Ali could take a beating. He'd let you keep hitting you till you were gassed, then he'd fuck your shit up. I would have loved to see Ali vs. Tyson, but sadly, that will never happen !

@dan7edan7e
lol not even close. tyson beat very few good opponents, and even a decent boxer could keep him at bay with ease. when he fought lennox he was old and washed up but the styles told the story. tyson was useless against a smart outside fighter.

@dan7edan7e yea such a shame he peaked at an early age he would have been the greates if he didnt get caught up with all the other shit

@dan7edan7e But the reality differs from your imagination and it is Lewis who knocked Tyson's ass the fuck out.
Snickerssuper 9 months ago
@Snickerssuper if only your parents have taught you to read, you would know that I am talking about Tyson "IN HIS PRIME". Also, if only you were not completely incompetent in sports, you would know that Tyson lost to Lewis in 2002, which was way after Tyson's years of glory. e.g. You dont go around saying Karelin sucks at wrestling just because he is a 50 year old man now. Thirdly, there is no way to check whether I am right or wrong, cuz we will never see Tyson in his prime again. Bye.

@harissuhonjic But isn't that the point of boxing? You can have all the form, training, and technique in the world. But at the end of the day, its about who does the most damage to their opponent. And Tyson did that. He was a savage monster, and one of the greatest of all time!
