hey yeah john mayer probably is using an sg-1. it could be a more recent version, mines a bit choppy i know the boss gt6 has one thats a bit smoother. sounds like hes used an autowah or something aswell, hope this helps

yea man, i've read people think it's somethin in his adrenalinn, an auto wah, or a filter, but idk-i read he did a BYOC tremolo, so maybe it really is a lazy sprocket. i just don't hear much of a wah sound in it... and it's so soft, no harshness like a wah.

i think you should do another post of this-more extensive, and mimick his tone and a riff of that song!! :-P
