  • Lovely engine and supurbe rebuild by the sound and looks of it. Twenty years ago in the UK I had a narrow boat which we lived on with a gardner 6LW marine engine and 3UC gearbox, yes I know total overkill.but it was an engine in a boat rather than the other way around, though the boat was a nice 70ft les allan built boat too. Happy days in NZ. Best regards Honker 785

  • I Served My Appreticeship at Gardners from 1966 to 1974 all the engines were hand built in those days The Best Money could buy

  • Nope,its in an ex Mersey Docks and Harbour board 0-6-0 shunter,gave her a top end rebuild coz she was "A Bit" smoky,nearly finished it,just need some new crank case door gaskets making and a few water line hoses and where away
