having Just one high gain antennas is Usless for long range connectiion without a second high gain antenna on the other side you're connecting to so basically because you have a powerfull high gain antenna does not mean you will be able to connect to wifis from miles away unless you have another high gain antennas on the other side so with just one high gain antenna it might pickup lots of wifis but connecting to most of them is impossible signal will be to weak!!!
@RamdomClipz so do you know where I can buy that brass square at? I can't seem to find it anywhere. But ebay, and they want $60 for a 12" x 12" x 1/8th" piece.
Hello. First of all, thank you for the video. I spent almost an hour trying to figure out the steps! I have 2 questions:
1) at 1:27 the antenna is basically finished, but you still need a way to connect it to a coaxial cable line in order to take the signal to the computer, hence the SMA connector, right?
2) How do you connect the coaxial line to the computer? Is there some kind of ethernet or USB card to do it?
3) What software do you need to make the PC recognize the antenna? THX!
@pspheaven Hi there. I asked a publisher of the video about the cable needed to connect the antenna to the wifi adapter. You seem to know the answer, so that is why I'm asking. What kind of cable and what kind of adapter should I buy in order to make this antenna work? What about the way to configure the computer? I would appreciate your light on this. Thank you... :)
@pspheaven Thank you my friend. I still have a question, though. Is the sma connector shown at the beginning a male or female connector? How about the one near the end of the video? I appreciate your help.
I'm too lazy to do this.

@nnmk001 In some cases you may need the range without a need to connect. You could set up an antenna like this onto a wireless IDS.
